mariaalel Posted July 12, 2020 at 05:35 PM Posted July 12, 2020 at 05:35 PM Hey guys, I was just looking at Celine’s concert dates and it seems that there is a show in Chicago not cancelled and you can buy tickets, as far as I know the tour was resuming next year, do you have any information if this show it’s happening? Otherwise I am going! Thank you Quote
idroveallnight Posted July 12, 2020 at 06:04 PM Posted July 12, 2020 at 06:04 PM Fingers crossed the Pittsburgh and DC shows rescheduled for November before the pandemic will go on. 3 Quote

Angel2006 Posted July 13, 2020 at 06:13 PM Posted July 13, 2020 at 06:13 PM Stage 3 has just been announced to start up on July 17 here in Ontario and part of that stage 3 is the reopening of concerts! :clap:Fingers crossed that all goes good, so that there can be some glimmer of hope for the future of this tour continuing once again. That is beyond reckless. Until a vaccine is created, concerts and sporting events should not be allowed to take place! Ugh. We’re all gonna be in quarantine forever. Quote
rhapsodion Posted July 13, 2020 at 08:06 PM Posted July 13, 2020 at 08:06 PM In our province, we are already in phase 3, but for us, still no gathering of 50+ people is allowed. As much as I look forward to the concert, i’d rather they be cautious and hold off til it is really safe to do so than taking the risk, and to be a responsible citizen. Quote
couldawouldashoulda Posted July 13, 2020 at 08:35 PM Posted July 13, 2020 at 08:35 PM Here in the U.S. we're seeing how wrong it is to open things too quickly. NYC was the hardest hit in the country at the beginning but shut down HARD and we managed to flatten the curve and keep it down. (So far.) However, the rest of the country's coronavirus cases are skyrocketing because states opened up too quickly. NYC is only still at Phase 2. It's Phase 4 that gets concerts, Broadways, movie house, sports arenas, and schools back open. I highly doubt we'll get to that phase this year if what's happening to the rest of the country is any indication. Quote
smw Posted July 13, 2020 at 09:48 PM Posted July 13, 2020 at 09:48 PM Here in LA the Governor is shutting everything down again. We definitely opened too quickly. It’s going to take a vaccine to get back to a new normal. And it will take quite a while to roll a vaccine out to the entire population, so seeing concerts again in 2021 might be a stretch. 1 Quote
couldawouldashoulda Posted July 13, 2020 at 10:56 PM Posted July 13, 2020 at 10:56 PM Definitely a stretch with her American concerts. They announced here how they’ll roll out the vaccine. 1) Government Officials 2) First Responders 3) The elderly and people with underlying conditions and 4) everyone else. 315 million doses is going to take a loooooooong time. There would be restrictions. Here in NS we only have 3 active cases and indoor events can only have a maximum of 250 people and everyone has to social distance. It's going to be a long time before we see events of 10 and 20 plus thousand people. I wouldn't be surprised if the dates for Spring 2021 are again pushed out. If she can fight her way through performing “Because You Loved Me” for the billionth time for her fans, she can do the same with “I Drove All Night.” 1 Quote

If she can fight her way through performing "Because You Loved Me" for the billionth time for her fans, she can do the same with "I Drove All Night." Exactly! It’s Céline classic and truly a great song. Probably most casual fans who attended the Courage World Tour shows thought “shame she didn’t perform IDAN”. Also (not really relevant) I actually don’t mind her doing covers, especially the ones she recorded. Edited July 14, 2020 at 08:09 PM by Céline RO 2 Quote The best is yet to come...

manolo19 Posted July 15, 2020 at 12:24 AM Posted July 15, 2020 at 12:24 AM And I'm scared Celine doesn't feel the need to perform one song for her fans until then . I have lost hope to get a little something from her and it's going to be like that for a long time. I hope she enjoys her time off and I respect the fact she doesnt want to expose herself or record a live performance in her home but I miss her , I'm starting to feel depressed by all of this 😔 2 Quote
Angel2006 Posted July 15, 2020 at 07:52 AM Posted July 15, 2020 at 07:52 AM I agree with people about the concerts. I think it's way too soon to open up concerts and Live events now or anytime soon. I believe it's only 50 people allowed indoors to gather in Ontario starting July 17th and 100 gathering outdoors. I guess if there are any concerts, it would have to be outdoors and widely spread apart. I wouldn't feel comfortable going to any type of gathering anytime soon that's for sure, but I do like the Drive In concert idea that has been talked about and shown to be done recently. Now that's something really cool. That is a much safer way of gathering because everyone is kinda in there own little protective bubble of there vehicles. I am totally behind the comeback of the Drive In!! I think that when concerts do resume again, whenever that is, everyone should for sure have to wear masks and shields and be temperature checked at the doors before entering the venue. Everyone should also wear hand sanitizer and remain 6 feet apart at lineup and during the shows. If those key things do not happen I will be very concerned about a 2nd wave. I would already be concerned about a 2nd wave even with those safety measures in place, but I know we gotta get back to normal at some point. If these guidelines are followed by everyone, than I think we should be safe for the most part. Knock on wood. The main concern is everyone following these rules. That's the key factor in controlling the spread. There should be consequences for anyone who doesn't wear masks and shields at any upcoming concerts. Hopefully they would be turned away at the door anyways, but there needs to be very strict rules and everyone needs to follow them to keep not only themselves safe, but the entire world. It's crazy to think that this whole thing started in China and now it's everywhere. That just shows how powerful and fast the spread can be. 1 Quote

It's crazy to think that this whole thing started in China and now it's everywhere. That just shows how powerful and fast the spread can be. One major problem with this is that people are contagious before they show any symptoms. People who have Covid-19 won’t necessarily have a temperature so taking temperatures as people enter proves nothing. It’s a cosmetic fix to make people feel safe - “Oh look the venue is taking precautions.” And people don’t wear masks or they take them off once they’re inside and with 60,000-100,000 people in a venue, how does the venue ensure everyone keeps them on? It’s the law that you wear a seatbelt when you drive but not everyone follows the law, some people refuse to wear them. The police can’t see everyone. I like the idea of drive-ins as well however not everyone owns a car. So I guess those people can’t go to concerts for a few years, maybe? Poor people who can barely afford the ticket as it is would have an extra financial burden of renting a car for the show. Outdoor venues...you can’t keep people 6 feet apart. Everyone is used to (and will want to) crowd the front of the stage as much as they can. So do we have Celine play a stadium that seats 60,000 people but only allow 30,000 ticket buyers? How can that be profitable for anyone? By charging $1,000-$7,000 per ticket most likely. Again, only the rich win in this situation. There’s no easy answer to the subject of plays, concerts, sports arenas, anywhere where people gather en masse to have an experience. It’ll be interesting to see how things play out... 4 Quote
