Am I the only one that is actually happy about the tour halt? To be honest, I thought the tour came top early after Vegas. She didn't take any (short or long) breaks since René departure. We all knew the state of her voice was worrisome. She is now able to rest, spend time with her kids and extended family in Québec and actually have the time to think. When she'll be back on the road, she will be fully rested and top shape. And who knows what can come out of this break project wise.

I feel the same as you; however, I also had the luxury of seeing the concert 7 times between opening night and one of the New Jersey nights which was practically the end of the tour. I think the time off for Celine can only be a positive thing. As you say, she has worked herself to the bone, all while grieving, for almost 10 years non-stop. She is well deserving of this break and I'm so glad she's not singing from her home posting them to social media. She's relaxing. She's recharging. She's going to be back in top shape whenever the tour can start again. I hope it will be by March 2021 for all the people in Europe and the US west coast who have yet to see her. It will all depend on how things go this winter.

I sincerely hope when she returns to the touring life (whenever that may be (for everyone)) that she'll adjust the tour's setlist. I know it would be asking the world for the medley and "You're The Voice" to be cut, but I sincerely hope we see her being more, well, courageous, with the songs she sings. Add in a Spanish song. Add in something with a deep message like "This Time." Add in something from her early Canadian years into the show in some way. Yes, even in the United States. I don't expect her to do all of these things, but just doing one of them would show some form of growth and reflection in my eyes.

After 1 year and 3 months this has 4.5 million views. After just 3 months the ‘Hits Medley’ has 10 million views. It’s obvious which songs they’re going to choose to perform.

She had issues singing it live. Just like Lying Down. And, now that Rene is gone and she is the boss, she seems to be cutting any song she can’t sing night after night (she did the same with The Reason on this tour.) The only things she lips these days are the old hits that she can’t do a show without performing - IACBTMN, BYLM, ABM, MHWGO. I suspect that’s why she’s doing so many covers by male singers. They sing so high that she can sing them in her lower register.

 

I realize that some people don’t care if she lips new songs, they just want them in the show but it doesn’t seem as if Celine feels the same.

Of course:( why would we expect teamceline really want to do something for her fans. Where is that Netflix documentary we thought that would come. Where is at least one new song, even a homesung cover.. Dissapointing

sometimes it is better not to follow the topics here or Celine too closely. Moreover, don’t expect anything from her during Corona and maybe not after that. That is what I have learned for myself. That protects you from disappointments. Take it as it is. Accept what it is. Once in a while she will make us happy with something unexpected or a sign of life, a new song, a new project.... real Life is out there and definitely full of Celine music whenever you wish to hear it😊
