ryba Posted January 11, 2020 at 09:48 AM Posted January 11, 2020 at 09:48 AM Celine is "so proud of her album" (Yeah, we can sure see that!) After it came out, all she did was to go and film a stupid commercial, ridiculing one of her biggest masterpiecesand STILL chose to give 0 promotion to "Courage", that just shows how much she cares about her music career. For the last months I'm not even checking her official accounts aymore, since she doesn't even think to give ussomething special, that has to do with the new album she "is so proud of". I've stop waiting for something to happen. Even if Sony doesn't have a budget, she still could/can make a live facebook event, and to sing just 4 new songsfrom the album, but she doesn't care, she simply mocks her fans at this stage. And look at this board, does it even look like she has a new album out there, and people can't hold their enthusiasm? I can see none of it, what I could see, sadly, was the news about her new album, "breaking a record" by falling to a #111 spot and they never bother to talkabout her music here, but this one was published on a world-wide scale given her status! I felt sad for that, and couldn't believe my eyes she will flop so bad in the USA, when her album has some good gems in it with high quailty, and not the garbage that tops the charts. I'm sure all of that won't go under Sony's radar when it comes to producing a new album. At the moment she frauds her own loyal fans when not singing more than 2 new songs on the Tour, those fans that fail to see that simple truth it's behind me, but I won't bother anymore to explain it. Only in Celine world a not-related medely of Covers can be consider as "something special" and she insist not singing her own new songs. Such a shame and disrespect toward so many fans in Canada and the US giving them the same LV on wheels Tour, does their money worth SXXX in Celine's eyes? It sure seems so. Honestly at this stage I don't really care anymore what she does or not, I've just had to respond to some posts by fans that lost connection to reality for good. It's just sad watching what Celine turned to be. Let me know once Celine the artist decided to come back. Chao.amen! You really should post that to her official Facebook group and start a discussion there and make her team aware of such opinions. 1 Quote
Celine Fan 77 Posted January 11, 2020 at 09:53 AM Posted January 11, 2020 at 09:53 AM I couldn't agree more with most of you. For the first time in 10 years, I don't have intention to attend this tour. It's extremely unexciting and boring... 4 Quote Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013)Céline Dion Live 2016 in Antwerp (June 20, 2016)Céline Dion Live 2017 in Birmingham (July 27, 2017)

AdrienneM Posted January 11, 2020 at 10:52 AM Posted January 11, 2020 at 10:52 AM (edited) It does amuse me how there is some sort of doomsday shame and pain about this show, and yet, everyone who doubted it and then went and saw it was thrilled after it. I also remember when i went back and read alot of the threads from the TCWT and its almost identical moans and complaints and its been 11 years! But now for some reason its favourable to look back at the TCWT and say it was a superior show to Courage? Hmm. Tours evolve, it would be hard to even compare the first Africa/Asia/Aus leg of TCWT to the final 2009 shows, even the US dates in General, and yet theres some sort of agony as if the set list will never have any variations and that its going to be identical for 18 months (however long this tour lasts we still dont know) is silly. Even though i was disappointed with the set list of the Chicago show, im not going to act as if i didnt have a fun time and im genuinely looking forward to my Miami shows, simply because regardless of what it is she sings; her vocals, her energy, her personality, the ad-libs she changes nightly, the way it makes you feel to be there, its simply unexplainable and THATS why Im still going. I also find it hilarious that people will say “Id go and hear Celine sing the phonebook I dont care Id go for Celine” and then on the same token complain that she’s performing the songs that got her to where she is today, i also think it would be those same people who would end up saying “it didnt feel right, it didnt feel like a celine show” if she didnt do TPOL, MHWGO, IACBTMN... Dancing_Queen Posted January 11, 2020 at 05:29 PM Posted January 11, 2020 at 05:29 PM (edited) I've said this a million times, but Céline is an entertainer. It's clearly the audience adulation that keeps her going. She will sing anything as long as it gets the response she wants (which is why she kept Recovering in the setlist for quite a while or why she keeps coming back to 'unknown' songs like The Reason or TLBSEPT). "Lying Down" unfortunately did not get a positive response, so they cut it.It really felt like a song that could work well in the show (feels bombastic enough), yet somehow it just fell flat. This may have turned them off from adding other new songs. Adding some kind of (dancing) act might 'force' people to pay attention (like she did for 'Le Ballet'). But what I really want is for them to rotate new songs and see what sticks."Falling in Love Again" might be the one to pique people's interest, who knows? Popular Post Alex_Incognito Posted January 12, 2020 at 03:33 AM Popular Post Posted January 12, 2020 at 03:33 AM Just got back from the concert. This was the best American audience I have ever encountered. You could feel the love from the beginning to the end and she received two very long standing ovations. Nothing new. Quelle surprise. But she sure did give her best because this audience was in the palm of her hand. Even got an off script thank you message. Vocally, again, she really gave it to us. Tous les blues, The Prayer we vocally amazing. The audience waz actually quite good for TLBSEPT. That final note! Wow. And the audience really loved TPOL and ABM. This is my last show for the North American leg. Prochain arrêt pour moi: Paris! 12 Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990

Lying Down is a great song if you just want to hear her voice, but it is not engaging at all. The key remains consistent throughout the entire song, there is no bridge or climax. And not to mention she failed almost every time she attempted the high notes. It's no wonder the reviews were weak. Either fix the arrangement or keep it out of the show. It is boring. Quote

queenofvegas Posted January 12, 2020 at 05:43 AM Posted January 12, 2020 at 05:43 AM In my opinion, I think Think Twice would be a perfect addition to the setlist. Maybe place it after ABM in replace of LD. It is a well known song and is engaging. People won't be leaving in the middle of a song they are familiar with. It fits the edgy theme of this section of the show. I don't know why no one seems to be talking about this song. 2 Quote

guigafs15 Posted January 12, 2020 at 08:05 AM Posted January 12, 2020 at 08:05 AM (edited) It amazes me how some of you feel bother by Celine's lack of artistry. Really, from who do you guys have been fan for all this time? Have you ever read a single critic about Celine in the past? Celine was NEVER an artist. She was always a entertainer, a interpreter, doing exactly what the white mens in the suits tell her to do. The only difference is that now she's not selling 30kk albums and people, in general, don't care about new music from old singers. So, the white mens are telling her to stick to the oldies and she, as always, is doing exactly what they say. You guys are think about Celine like she was a Beyonce but, really, she's more like Britney Spears (but with great voice). Edited January 12, 2020 at 08:05 AM by guigafs15 Quote
