I like The Prayer so much better now she’s singing it solo. It’s a highlight of the show. 1 Quote

I never thought it was that great to begin with I’m not. I was in college when the original BATB came out and it was such a big deal for many reasons. The animation was new and stunning - I believe it is still, to this day, the only animated feature ever nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars. And the fact that my favorite singer, the little-known Celine Dion - sang the theme song, I was ecstatic. So it’s one of those songs that has an incredible amount of nostalgia. And I don’t think I’d ever been in her presence when she sang it until London. Not in the LTAL tour, not at the Millennium concert, not in the first Vegas show when I saw it, nor in the second Vegas show (I only saw the first leg, 3 weeks into its run) and it wasn’t in the Taking Chances tour. Add to that Beauty and the Beast just reached a whole new generation of people with the live action version and....no, I am in no way over it and hope she continues to sing it for years to come. As does BYLM. As does IACBTMN. Those songs will not go anywhere. I don't see anything else that HAS to be in the show. Though IA and TTWII does bring the audience to their feet. It wouldn’t surprise me, and it’s very understandable. I know Céline is hurting so much right now. She’s been so strong, and she’s such a fighter, but I know that tjisbwould make anyone hurt. I just hope she is able to do what is best for her, and to take the time she needs to deal with and grieve. If I lost my mother, I would most certainly lose my best friend!
