PuraVida Posted January 3, 2020 at 10:40 AM Posted January 3, 2020 at 10:40 AM Celine cancels her concert in Lebanon because of the situation in the country. So much can happen in six or seven months....seems rather premature to me, even if their is some instability. Sorry for the fans there. And wasn't Rene Lebanese? Or Syrian? Quote
AdrienneM Posted January 3, 2020 at 11:13 AM Posted January 3, 2020 at 11:13 AM From what ive seen, read and what I personally think, its the right decision. The country is far too unstable at the moment, plus it would only be a matter of time before tensions would rise due to her performing in both Beirut and Tel Aviv, and its far less problematic to cancel due to this rather than due to political pressure 4 Quote
DionFanAlways Posted January 3, 2020 at 12:29 PM Posted January 3, 2020 at 12:29 PM Honestly I'm glad she/they made the decision quickly. 1 Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
scielle Posted January 3, 2020 at 12:49 PM Posted January 3, 2020 at 12:49 PM And wasn't Rene Lebanese? Or Syrian? His maternal grandparents were Lebanese immigrants, and his paternal grandparents were Syrian immigrants. After what happened last night, it's a wise decision. Things aren't going to get safer there any time soon. I wouldn't be surprised if she cancelled Israel as well. 1 Quote
browseceline Posted January 3, 2020 at 04:39 PM Posted January 3, 2020 at 04:39 PM I am curious to see if this tour evolves more in the coming new year. I get her wanting to do Vegas on wheels for most of North America, however, as the tour begins to march westward, Las Vegas was quite easily accessed by many. It would be silly to keep many of those Vegas songs in the show. Just my 2 cents.Would be weird to add this completely new song and neglect all the gems on the album! Rokijo Posted January 3, 2020 at 06:46 PM Posted January 3, 2020 at 06:46 PM At the end of the day, i am thrilled to be seeing her on this tour in April. Been a fan for a very long time. Been very fortunate to see her live many times. I do love almost all songs she is currently performing. I am just greedy and want more songs. 😉 1 Quote
No1IrishFan Posted January 3, 2020 at 07:24 PM Posted January 3, 2020 at 07:24 PM I understand the current setlist for the US, she hasn’t toured there in so long. A ‘greatest hits’ like setlist will please 95% of concert goers. Interested to see what happens when she hits Europe given she’s toured here recently enough. Can’t see a drastically different setlist, but I’m worried songs like IYAMT could go and be replaced with TT. Either way, I’m super excited to see her. Even she sang the phonebook. The setlist is important yes but I’m going to see and hear Celine. This has been said before and whilst I respect others who disagree, this is my view 🙌🏼 Quote

We pay huge prices for the same songs year after year after year..and then you are greedy for wanting her to sing something new? Only pleasing with those same 90s songs and even having a new album out and not singing even four songs of that album while having a Courage tour!? No you are not greedy at all! Davey84 Posted January 6, 2020 at 12:48 PM Posted January 6, 2020 at 12:48 PM I had the most weird Celine dream last night! I dreamed I was attending the Courage tour, but it was a totally different show! Celine had blonde hair, but one side was like in the SLV videoclip. She didn't sang any of her own songs, but a lot of french songs that wouldn't be misplaced on Chante Noël. They were very story telling, like at one point the stage was transformed into a kitchen. Celine also few above the crowd. Of course when I woke up, I was like I gotta remember this all, but of course I forgot most of it... it was a long dream though and quite enjoyable 5 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
fred Posted January 6, 2020 at 01:07 PM Posted January 6, 2020 at 01:07 PM (edited) If I don't remember wrong she made a joke about her forgetting to put her pants on during the costume change. Wonderful night! Wonderful setlist (only tiny complaint is that it perhaps was a bit too long, esp for casual fans, they could have cut 5 songs and it would still have been the best setlist in her career - that and the Millennium Concert). https://images.app.g...9zWFH9nbaQSurZ9 Edited January 6, 2020 at 01:07 PM by fred 2 Quote Peace and love to all.
fred Posted January 6, 2020 at 01:12 PM Posted January 6, 2020 at 01:12 PM LAEE is her most beautiful French song (IMO). Taking is out is so sad. I am all for giving songs a rest every now and then, but there are so many other songs to cut out from this setlist, and they cut this gem! I will not be surprised if they end up removing TLBSEPT from the ENG setlist aswell….. (since they mostly seem to cut the good stuff out and leave the boring in) I just hope it makes it to Stockholm, so I can hear it live. This too! https://youtu.be/pWOAMIQMOSI Quote Peace and love to all.

And she had already cut 4 songs from Copenhagen to Stockholm, the original Copenhagen show was over 2 and a half hours long, near enough 2 hours 45 minutes 1 Quote
fred Posted January 6, 2020 at 04:17 PM Posted January 6, 2020 at 04:17 PM I didnt miss THLAL (that horrible sounding thing, must take a look at the Copenhagen performance if there is any though), nor IYA (I want her to do a solo version, not too fond of the Barnev version) or ML (never been that fond of that song, though it's a nice on I agree but). Misled I would gladly have heard live though.Wish she had cut BOW instead, but as we know by now she protects covers as if they were endangered spieces. She was so cute on PQTME when she asked us to sing a long with her. Well Céline, you're in Sweden, French is like Greek to almost all.
