Courage World Tour - EU shows CANCELED

I guess you are right with that article quote. Thought it wasn't really said by her but just an assumption by the writer. In a way we both are though.

I'm 100% sure that the blonde we see is a wig.

In some HQ images you can see the line between own hair and the blonde wig.

When I watched videos from her show yesterday she turned around which made her hair move.

And then you notice it's 2 separate things.

Her own hair is also definitely cut short, but is darker and thinner. And the topper is very blonde with a sharp cut.

Anyway, mystery solved :sofunny:

Now let's talk about her voice :P

Not according to Celine.

Definitely not a topic worth turning sour on, but I definitely can see the visible wig line and how her hair is tucked in a bun underneath. Subtle, but I see it. Maybe future shows, there will be more pictures showing so. :)

I’m courious to see how she rehearses 9 different songs with only one day off before Cleveland. So to be realistic we will probably see:

TLYM (new lipped track won’t go to waste)

Ashes

TTWII

LCMM

Courage ( back in the setlist)

That would leave us with 4 more songs if they choose songs to not shorten the show because let’s not forget if she does “Ashes” she will also have the 111118 minute speech beforehand... therefore cutting songs.

Well, before the tour, someone on her team/the band said that they’d rehearsed 40 songs for the tour. So I’m sure they’ve already rehearsed the English set list before the tour ever began.

For sure. I’m sure all those songs and visuals have been ready to go.

Hopefully they’ll be able to do a run through of the songs so Celine will feel confident. I don’t want her to feel nervous / anxious because that will prolong any lingering illness.

I come here to get the sort of up-to-the-minute updates on Celine when she's performing - so I came here last night, again. I always regret coming to this forum.. honestly, with fans like some of you, she should never need critics. I think I read somewhere in this thread about no sympathies from someone for her vocal trouble, how dare she drink wine and eat dairy.. or some nonsense like that. Celine used to practice extreme vocal preservation routines in the 1990s. The 1990s ended 20 years ago. That was another life and it's over.

You guys cannot be serious that you think she went back stage and was injected with steroids.. I mean, seriously? She also did not start the show without a warm-up. It's not surprising she got better as it went on, but it was still a rough night.

And this hate for AdrienneM - granted I do not know her but I don't think you need to live with Celine or be her personal assistant to know this stuff she's posted in this thread. All you have to do is pay attention.

Also, the blonde bob is a wig. I can't believe anyone thought this was real? Linked is a story from LA Times recently that contains a photo of her without the blonde on.

They also might keep the first few full English setlist shows a bit shorter than they initially anticipated until Celine feels fully confident again.

I just want her to feel strong!!

If theyve already rehearsed the songs before the tour, all they need to do is a freshen up during soundcheck, the rest can be gone over individually lyric and music wise. I mean, in the TCWT with one night off, they managed to produce like 11 french songs in a

Antwerp fresh off UK shows, so id doesnt seem that outlandish

I really hope she’s feeling better, physically AND emotionally. I love that the Ottawa crowd was there as her cheerleader and I certainly hope it stays that way for tonight.

I can’t wait to see her back on stage tonight. I just know, and it’s visibly evident, she still very much loves what she does. Even though she may not be where she wants to be vocally, I still see it on her face and in her eyes she is very much in her element. I know tonight will be amazing and she will kick some serious butt! :wub2:

I truly believe that by now she has completely recovered from that throat virus and that the reason why she was not in top shape vocally last night is because she had not trained/used her voice enough during these past few weeks. This is proved by the fact that, as the show progressed, her voice warmed up and this resulted in pretty good renditions of most songs towards the end of the show (I don’t believe in the backstage shot theory by the way).

I’m sure that after a few shows of intense on-stage vocal training, Céline’s voice will be in top shape, or likely even better. I’m pretty confident that despite the rough start, the Courage World Tour is destined to be one of Céline’s best tours ever vocally, I just feel it.

On a completely different note, I just noticed the (very appropriate) maple leaf visuals for “À Vous”!

Also, am I the only one who thought the ending of IACBTMN sounded pretty bad?

I agree whole heartedly! I just think maybe she didn’t want to push her luck and did a soundcheck yesterday and just went for it. As for any of us who take some time off from our job, it takes us time to get back into our groove. And for Celine, I am sure it’s in her mind what’s been happening, and she’s worried, but I know if she puts her heart and soul into it, she will truly show us all up! :throb:

That is just simply beautiful! I heard it earlier today and the stripped down arrangement... my god her falsetto is something else. It was the perfect end to the show last night!

Yeah, I don't understand why memebers going too hard on her.

I apperciate fans that are like an "open Celine enycopldia" and knowing so much about her career.

I’ve loved watching the clips from Ottawa last night.

Celine Dion is so darn classy and elegant. Quite opposite of Whitney & Mariah, frankly, especially in their later years.

We are incredibly lucky fans! The folks at the concert last night got to have some real moments with Celine. They saw her vulnerability. It takes a lot of strength and courage to be so openly vulnerable. That made the night extra special & memorable — certainly not a run of the mill performance! And she had some beautiful vocal moments.

So it is still on! I hope she really feels ok to go on tonight. It hurts my heart so much to see she hurts. She is one of the HARDEST working people I see!!

Seems peoples faith in Celine has been restored in terms of not cancelling, as the few remaining tickets for tonight are flying off the ticketmaster site

Poor thing tried to hold herself from not bursting into tears, so heart breaking.

You can see she is tearful. No matter what happens I wish

she will put herself first, sending her many good vibes.

I hope Celine is truly better and that her struggles in the beginning of last nights show was just mostly nerves, mixed with the stress of returning to the stage for the first time and feeling that pressure on her shoulders. I am hoping that's what it was and that once she eased herself into it more, her vocal cords became more relaxed.

I reeeaally hope that's what it was, because if she truly isn't better I would rather her cancel whatever shows she need to now, rather than postponing things and making the healing worse. I think this could only lead to an inevitable cancellation down the line. In my mind I think it's worse to try and keep going when you know you're not ready to perform, because that isn't going to help the situation, it's only going to prolong her recovery time and possibly lead to cancelling more shows then she would have initially, if she just chose to wait it out and get better instead.

I am surprised Celine hasn't cancelled tonight's show. I wouldn't be surprised if there were to be a cancellation announcement last minute though. I know it would put a lot of people out and of course that would suck, but they would get there money back and get over it and everything would be okay. Celine has a lot more on the line than the fans do. Risking her voice like this isn't worth it. Pushing herself could lead to permanent vocal damage.

I have never been this nervous for her performing. I will feel a lot better if she doesn't struggle tonight and seems to be on the path to recovery, but if she continues to struggle, I reeaally hope she doesn't continue to push herself and just cancels shows for whatever time she needs to fully recover and not just partly recover. It's not worth it. It's not worth it for herself or her fans, because we only want to pay to see Celine at her best anyways.

I feel bad for these fans who wait there whole lives to see there idol and save up there tips and hard earned money, only to not see Celine at her best vocally. I know Celine thinks she's letting her fans down when she cancels a show, but it's the opposite. It's really more of a let down when she doesn't cancel a show if she should. That's my opinion. I know I would hate to pay all that money and than not hear what I'm expecting to hear. Even watching these videos online of her struggling makes me feel sad and bad for her. I would hate to actually pay money to feel that way in person. Nobody wants to see her this way.

There are still a loooot of shows to go on this tour, so if she's not better yet and truly needs more time to recover in order to get better, it's my opinion that she cancels now and doesn't prolong the inevitable. It will be much better for her in the long run. I really do hate that "Show must go on" mentality. It's really not healthy.

I really hope she is better tonight if she chooses to go through with the show and if not, I hope she takes some rest and cancels some show if needed. Get well soon Celine! :giggle:
