Courage World Tour - EU shows CANCELED

She has a month between Winnipeg and Prague, if she has any sense she'll take it easy over that time period. She has a few times where she stops for 8-15 days, including her Xmas break.

And these dates etc we're all conceived and organised WAAAAY before she got ill. The US/Canada dates will have been set up and arranged in Feb/March time, if not earlier and the European dates in June-August. It is obvious she knows and feels when shes good, this schedule is not too much for her. Her getting ill was an inevitability, it was just a matter of when. On the TCWT that was her Australian leg and her last 15-ish US shows, she reorganised all of them and was fine up until the last few shows.

May 2018, she wasnt great at all, for most of June she was iffy. But by Late June she was A-OK and she did the whole Asia/Oceania tour with a flawless voice, singing her #ss off. Then when she was back in Vegas for her October leg she sounded great too... even 2017 tour all whilst struggling with PET and then Back spasms ontop of that.. she'll be fine

Jesus, do you live with Celine, are her personal assistant or something? It's really hard to read you when you apparently know absolutely all about her and have an answer to everything! :whee:

Ah yes, here comes Mr Instigator.

Im not even going to bother to respond to your childish, insulting and silly replies so you can give up now. I think youve shown enough of that today, no?

Her team and also herself should think about that when they only keep adding and adding more dates for this tour, even for the same cities already announced, don't you think? ;)

Yes, I do think her and her team should recognize that, too. But adding more dates isn't the problem. A virus is no reason for someone do not make future plans. Usually, with a couple weeks of rest you get better.

It could be longer, though. And the extension of the damage it hard to predict.

Unfortunately, is a "trial and error" situation. They try yesterday, it didn't work. Let's just hope they do something about it.

She sure had some off moments and better moments where she pulled out some amazing renditions

I didn't say it implies to all of shows during the Asia Tour (The same goes for shows during 2017)

That's why I wrote this is my personal opinion and gave my insight to when and where

I've noticed she started to have those issues with her voice and here we are today...

Needed where the proud who walk the wire are set to fall"

The video of "A vous" from last night is heart breaking. It's not just about the voice. You can see her stress, her struggle.

What's going on with today's concert?

So then half the forum is "insulting" you know dear  , because at least 4 people here are already telling you the same comments about "always knowing everything" and being useless to reply your posts

Sorry!

Yes and no. Because when you keep adding more dates after the dates you have already booked, leaving no days to rest her voice in between shows, that's already overloading her agenda, and to me this is acting irresponsibly.

If she needs one day rest in between shows, don't add more to the already packed schedule she has... But they keep booking dates.

Thing is that they're pushing too hard now. I'm sure promoters of the places she sold out within ours went immediately to her and demanded more shows. "Hey Celine, we need you to add extra dates here, here and here, because all tickets flew away in hours". And Celine should have said just NO. It's her rest in between shows, it's her health ;)

Then why not trying to prevent some of this damage from the first place?

They knew she was not ready for the show yesterday, nor the one she will have today.

Well she depents on her instrument, how it helps having her going from one show to another

while she is over abusing her vocal chords for the moment? The problems with her vocals won't go away

from one day to another either...

She said herself during the morning and the afternoon she felts strong and felt fine to carry on but it became apparent later on she wasnt. They cant say “yep, everythings cool, lets go” and then cancel at 7:30, 40 minutes before shes due on. People on here would RIOT.

If she stays on and sings people complain and say shes been exploited or that she sounds like sh*t and if she cancels shes useless and her team are useless too... she cannot win

Shouldn't they announce a cancelation by now? Isn't it past 11 a.m. in Ottawa?

Her voice was a little rougher in the beginning. I am glad FOMO is out of the medley.

I was glad she didn't do the horrible screech she normally does in A vous.

In the cover medley her voice sounded superb!! Tous les blues wasn't bad either. Maybe she just needs proper soundcheck after days of not performing and being sick.

First thing i noticed was how much better the C#s sounded in Tous les blues...

Pqtme was amazing last night. Her voice sounded like as she was in 90s with a lot of improvise 😍

Lying down was extremely good too 😍 It sounded pretty close to studio version

I sincerely hope that her voice improving during the show was an indication tonight she will do better. I feel like she was so nervous at the beginning she wasn’t going to be at her best and I think she literally gave it her all for the rest of the show, and it really showed!

Oh I didn't know she said that before the show of yesterday

You know what, I think she felt so bad from how she started the Tour in her homeland...

better saying the "no Tour" she had over there so far, so she decided that no matter what

she will just go there to give these two last shows and she indeed tried to give her best,

even if that means causing more damage to her vocals.

So more "red lights" for me that situation is out of control,

and it's not me getting too dramtic

I'm just listening carefully to her own words from the show yesterday

since there is this big insane gap between "I'm feeling all strong" before the show

then "I don't know if I can go on and sing" during the show.

Me wondering how she is going to handle the US Leg.

Can’t this horrid javito Guy shut the ****up for once? He is the worst. So tiresome. I have been coming to this forum for years but never felt the urge to participate because of all the childish behavior. Such a shame that some people don’t respect other peoples’ opinions. Look at kev aka peppercorn. He seems like such a nice and lovely guy. Always respectful to everybody. Take a good look, javito and co. Thats how you behave.

Yes!!! She did incredibly well the second half of the show - so proud of her!   Rough start and you could tell she felt horrible about it, but honestly, maybe getting out there and warming her voice back up and working it out might have been the best thing she could do as opposed to more rest. I'm no professional singer or doctor, but I'm going to continue to trust that they are collectively making the best decisions.

Surely she got a cortisone shot for the second part of the show, no?

If they're filming for a documentary, last night surely will be a touching backstage moment.

Been wondering that, but I guess we'll never have the actual answer. And that's probably last ditch effort to save the concert if she did and she surely can't do that for the next week or whatever as she continues to heal. Probably wouldn't be smart. I would think if she did resort to that last night, then tonight's show would have been canceled, but who knows. Just hoping for the best and that she'll continue to get stronger.

They’re probably finalising the rescheduling dates before making announcements. I still think though that she maybe just needs to get right back on the saddle so to speak to strengthen her vocal chords again but obviously not at the cost of her doing any long term damage

According to the venue the show is still going forward

Probably because they haven’t heard otherwise yet!

Why dont they just let her protect her voice and let her lipsynch every song in the show in that case? The certainty recorded the previous concerts so they have her vocals. (I know its not quite honest on her behalf, but she gives people a show, doesnt cancel and protects her voice).
I would rather they postpone a show. Having her lip synch an entire show is an insult to the audience who paid hundreds of dollars to see her.

Id assume they wouldve been the first people they wouldve got in contact with early this morning if not late last night. I think its safe to *assume* its going ahead, its already 1pm in Ottawa as of now

I think after tonight's show, they're going to reschedule all of the US dates (Cleveland 10/18-Detroit 11/5) and then restart the tour 11/18 in Montreal after the album release. I really think she needs it. It's pretty evident that she got a steroid/cortisone shot after the first part of last night's show. Her voice breaks and was really off after each song. Luckily POL is lipped. She got the shot after the break and her voice was getting better after each song it seemed. Definitely a shot on the upper thigh/butt.

Also the new 'do, is definitely a new wig for the tour. Funny how we some see it and some don't, but it's 1000% a wig. LOL

Get better Celine! :)

I wonder if tonight will be treated like a rehearsal show maybe with another english song or two beyond just bylm from last night.

Either way come friday roughly 10 songs will be swapped out!!
