Could someone explain a drone to the blind lady and why the F MHWGO needs them? :unsure:

 

It's for special visual effect for the climax of the song, similar to the waterfall effect in Vegas. Especially since we know she is lipping that part of the song, that visual effect could somehow be viewed as compensation for some of us.

The strangest thing is to cut Courage but keeping ABTD and LM. Hope she feels better tomorrow.

Short, yes, but she must have been feeling so awful - physically & emotionally - that it's super impressive she put on the show she did (from the bits I saw).

 

And more than anything, I'm so happy at how bilingual it was; she seemed to talk 50/50 in each language. As it should be.

I would hope she would do the show in full or not at all. People paid money don’t deserve a shortened show. Unless that was always the planned show, in that case... disappointing.

Only 2 songs from the new album! Wow such a disappointment for me! French show or not... there should be more songs from this album... I speak French and i'm from Quebec but I wouldn't mind if we had the same show as everywhere... but i know many people from Quebec would be mad! It would never happen and it's fine but still... ;)

Well 1:45 is not that short. She probably realizes now that she has been pushing her voice too much.

Some artists perform for 1:30...

Regardless --- there were MANY non-lipped moments that were astonishing considering the illness she's been fighting.

 

She is INCREDIBLE!

 

Hope she continues to put her health first. She did a fantastic job tonight and the crowd got PLENTY for their money. They got to see a diva FIGHT for that performance!

That sentence only lists the songs that have been released thus far. Doesn't say anywhere she performed them.

It really hurts to see Celine struggling so much through the show... Definitely some low vocal moments, but some incredible ones too. How she nails the high notes for Tous les blues is beyond me. Hope she gets better soon, her schedule is relentless until November... :cry:

I don’t believe that they didn’t know about the pre recorded/lipped parts. They are just being humble. It’s 2019, they know it exists. I’m grateful that they still give positive reviews Edited by jpatdeleon09

Agreed. I wish it will be retained during the English leg of the tour.

 

Anyway, for me, she was at her best vocally tonight during S'il Suffisait d'aimer. The notes were flowing beautifully. No vocal issues whatsoever.

 

It really hurts to see Celine struggling so much through the show... Definitely some low vocal moments, but some incredible ones too. How she nails the high notes for Tous les blues is beyond me. Hope she gets better soon, her schedule is relentless until November... :cry:

I hate to see her still dealing with this :cry: I can definitely tell she improved during the show, but it still wasn’t 100%, and with a throat sickness, I know it can take a little while to fully get back to yourself. I hope she gets a good nights rest and has a good soundcheck tomorrow to loosen her voice and be as ready as possible.

 

I am so so glad she moved FOMO to the actual spot it deserves! She really did shock me doing it fully live! Even though the end was shaky, I thought the beginning wasn’t pretty good. Not the best it could be, but that song is so hard!

 

Wishing her all the best tonight. Don’t feel bad Céline, we all have our off days. It will get better, I promise. :heart:

The audience reaction was amazing!

 

Yes I would have also liked more new songs but given the circumstances let’s be happy she actually did a show and delivered something great once again.

I am torn whether or not she should cancel more shows. Based on the early portion of the stream I thought so. While I didn't see the rest it seems it was alot better. I get as you're voice warms up it can get better but I also am not sure if it's wise to continue if she herself was doubting whether or not she could continue. She is BEYOND incredible for even trying even if many bits were lipped at the end of the day her even agreeing to try when I'm sure she was feeling the pits is incredibly brave and courageous of her.

OMG! That's so sad! Even speaking her voice is very weak. I feel bad for her. She must be very insecure about it.

 

But it's like she said: she's only human. Very brave of her to keep on going.
