I have no sympathy I’m afraid... she’s said recently over and over that she’s not a strict anymore with her voice ... has dairy, a little wine... and no vocal days off like she used to. To be fair it worked for a while but after 3 weeks off it’s still struggling. This is a huge commitment a world tour and ppl are going to hear that voice, not the one she displayed last night. Yes, you can make it worse by over exertion, but more often than not you just have to wait it out and let it pass by itself. I think shes most definitely tried not talking and done her saline stuff etc. However a virus just doesnt play nice, and especially not on muscles which still contract when you dont speak like your vocal chords. I mean you hear about people with viruses’ which last like 4 or 5 weeks and then one day; they wake up and its gone. It’ll pass... give it time As for Mr LeVassuer, im glad to see a professor of law and management thinks its his place to comment on a stars power as an entertainment force or simply the entertainment industry itself. They could have waited a month after the release of the album and then starting the tour. Everybody can get ill of course but she cannot just cancel more shows now. There is a lot of money going on here. And considering the outrageous ticketprices people expect something. Wether her voice is well or not, this setlist is pretty dissapointing to be honest. Makes sense though that some songs are not in the setlist yet because the album is not released but I wonder, even when it has been released, if they are going to do more new songs. Right now for her to recover is most important but then she should cancel the tourdates for two weeks i am afraid or even more. This tour has gotten off to the worst possible start! I so hope I’m wrong but I have a bad feeling about this. Remember when she just announced all the dates for the Asian tour in 2014 and then without hesitation cancelled everything indefinitely. I know a lot of that had to do with Rene’s illness but she had been struggling herself with throat problems then as well. I hope if her Dr gave her the go ahead to go on, perhaps it was down to nerves and not having been able to keep her vocal chords trained and warmed up during her virus and if the case she’ll get stronger the more she performs but I just don’t know if she’ll be willing to take that risk. She has 11 more shows until a 17 day break which will no doubt be full of album promo, then back on the road for 12 shows then a Xmas and NY break off... Im confident she’ll be fine, she got better vocally as the show progressed which tells me she hadnt warmed up due to fear of her condition worsening. Postponing the album on the other hand is stricty impossible. postponing the whole tour is the worst scenario but i think the best thing to do is cancel it for at least a month and in that month also consider making that setlist more interesting. It would make no sense though to postpone the album. It is even better to cancel the tour for a while now and let the fans listen to those new tracks and incorporate them in the English setlist! I haven’t listened to Courage as I’ve said but I understood it to be quite a mellow ballad, correct me if I’m wrong please, but if so why drop this song, purely just to shorten the setlist or possibly because she was feeling too fragile emotionally to sing it?? I hope it comes back, certainly don’t think dropping the song the tour is named after makes any logical sense?! Quote

Probably because its so piano driven and its mostly just her voice, any cracks or breaks wouldve been extremely noticeable, i think she was feeling self conscious definitely 2 Quote
