I really, really, really, REALLY, hope Mannheim is the first or second date of the European leg, she needs to rest and jumping from like 18 shows in the last US/Canada run and then days later jumping into a full European leg is vocal suicide. Of course you had fun and enjoyed, you were jumping on clouds everyday weeks before the show when we knew absolutely nothing of it and the songs Your enthusiasm is laudable If the Queen asks the audience to stand up and dance or clap during RDMH and I'm in front of her, of course I'm not a party pooper who remains on his seat crossing my arms and a long face because I'm mad she's not singing the song I want: I obviously stand up and dance and join the party, even if in my head I'm rolling up my eyes and thinking "oh not this song again", same as Celine Dion herself is doing in her thoughts in that precise moment by the way This is just common seense right.

 

I too had fun and enjoyed meeting so many people in Hyde Park show in London in July, and at the same time was pissed off with the robotic show I just attended, having seen 90% of it already two years ago in the same city, AND I met many people who felt the same. We didn't hide our disappointment. We shared thoughts and exchanged opinions during 5 minutes after the concert and that was it. Next. We moved on to have a drink. One thing does not go against the other

That's lovely, but I'm a fan of Celine's first and foremost for her music as she is primarily a MUSICAL artist. It's the fact that she hasn't been able to innovate or even dig out one single old gem from a 27 album catalog that is mind blowing. She clearly sees herself primarily as a singer who decides to now sing whatever she likes. She obviously doesn't connect to the lyrics on any of her own material any more. That's sad and disheartening. I obviously don't relate to her as much any more even though I love her as she doesn't seem to relate to her own music that she put out.

 

I honestly can't believe the setlist could be this bad. I booked my Montreal trip and bought tickets to 2 shows before the tour started only because I was already planning a trip to NY and am stopping over. I obviously need not have bothered, as the songs I love I can clearly only ever listen to on CD til the end of time at this rate.

There are Negative people on forums for all kinds of big artists — Whitney, Mariah, Barbra, Cher, etc

 

It’s unfortunate but it comes with the territory. Just because these folks try their very best to devour us in their sad negativity (that they might wanna seek therapy for), it doesn’t mean anything whatsoever. It’s their one little opinion that they repeat until our eyes bleed. And they usually contradict themselves anyways — so it means absolutely nothing!!

Came to forum hoping to see excitement among fans because I am traveling to Montreal to see her...and I am disappointed to see so much negativity. If you don't agree with her taste, selection, her hair, her behavior, that is OKAY...just go reminisce with old CDs and videos.

 

She's human, living her best life...at the end of the day it is business/money and her priorities. She needs to please to die hard fans and casual listeners. That's business.

If only I didn't have non-refundable airfare. I thought SURELY there is no way Celine could be terrible in her native Quebec. Boy was I wrong. Maybe she takes that audience for granted more than any other. i'm beyond disappointed at this point in my decision to make this trip.

For the people that take it personally when Celine is criticized: the best thing you can do is let it go. How other people feel about her and her choices doesn't affect how you feel about her. Don't let it bother you so much, or at least try not to.

 

I definitely think some odd decisions have been made regarding song choice and order (YTV, FOMO in a weird legends medley, Kiss, etc) but definitely some major positives. Her outfits are incredible, her hairstyle and overall look is incredible, the intro to MHWGO is phenomenal, the dance interlude video is amazing, the 2 new songs are stunning.

 

I think things will be tweaked as it goes along. Obviously we still have the English version. Hopefully some songs will come and go. She's put out some stunning studio tracks so I'm beyond satiated for now.

Celine left immediately after the show tonight like literally after the last song shes going home to vegas to be with the kids cause any gaps or few days off she has she goes back to them. Thats what a fan told me tonight who saw her immediately after the show said she told him.

Tonight I was front row and I have to say it was one of the best concert experiences I have been to. The energy on stage and from the audience was something else. I am so happy I was able to have this experience on my Birthday wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
