She sounds so beautiful!!!

 

And I totally agree — being there in person with Celine is always a million times better than any video could capture. She is pure magic.

 

I’m still waiting for the LA tickets to go on sale!

I've been reading all the comments about the shows. I understand people get a bit negative about the same songs etc.. but to me it's celine I just love to go and see her. There will be a point in our lives we won't be able to. When ever I go to concerts not just celine it's the older songs I love the most. Also she is at s point her life where she wants to have fun do what she wants to do and enjoy her concerts. The voice is a fab song I for one love it.. why cos it's an iconic song and gets the crowd on their feet. Celine has already said it's one of her all time favourite songs. So why don't we just enjoy it with her. I know I'll be open to a bashing now but just wanted to say what I was thinking.

she is 51 years old sure she might struggle here and there on the high notes

but on this video from the second show, she got better and hope it will continue this way.

Well, that would be great if Celine's show was a visual feast. I've not done this venue before, but I loved having Bercy village nearby. The choices in La Défense sucks.

 

Well, La Defense Arena is apparently THE place to perform in Europe right now. So...

(and we talk about what we want, it's totally on topic!)

 

Probably because of all the b****ing and whinging and moaning from everyone about the first night. Why would anyone post videos for a bunch of ungrateful complainers?

 

Yeah, sure, every youtube/instagram/twitter/facebook user comes to this forum before posting their videos, in order to decide if they should release it or not! :laugh:

It's just plain simple logic that the first night would have the most coverage/bootleg.

 

 

Very disappointed for Spain & Portugal. WTF?

Hopefully they will be announced soon. Every cities haven't been announced yet. Otherwise, we could seriously asking why, oh why?

Come on, she can sell out at least ONE venue!

From my point of view, she could just take it easy, drop the songs that put too much strain on her and sing those that are best fitted for her voice as it is now and not as it was 20-30 years ago. There is just so much artistry in her performances! Vocally she doesn't need to prove anything to anyone.

Bottom line: The set list becomes a pretty minor concern once you're actually in her presence. She is just THAT good, she can elevate anything. It's a top-notch show, the artistry is definitely on display, she very clearly is loving it and very proud of it.

 

Thank you for your input, your posts are always balanced and on point, so I might take your word for it.

I was a bit disappointed in 2017 in Lyon, which was in a stadium, though the setlist was nice. I prefered the 2016 Bercy Show - no comparison is possible, I know.

I "drag" my husband along with me (though he knows lyrics from songs I barely ever listen to, making me suspect he listens to them when I'm not around). I consider him being part of the "general public", in sense that he loves the hits (IACMTMN -and some rarities I play all the time) and is easily impressed.

He loved 2017 way more than 2016 - quite the opposite of me, 2016 is my favorite Celine's Tour. Yeah, I cried a lot! :sofunny:

So I guess he will love this show. So we will go.

 

But I don't care about dance numbers, visual effects, spotlights, big screens, video interlude. All that theatricality bores me. As if she needed that. Her presence is otherworldly - and in this tour it seems she's just as charismatic as ever.

I'm not a Katy Perry Fan. I want her voice and her songs (and covers). The rest is for philistins.

So we'll definitively wait for the english show setlist before buying tickets for London (or another non french speaking country - cause i love Copenhagen, so if she's there...).

On behalf of my good friend who lives in Croatia, does anybody know if Celine is gonna visit croatia or serbia? There was something written on the mirror in croation/serbian. Which country will she visit, which city and which Venue?

From my point of view, she could just take it easy, drop the songs that put too much strain on her and sing those that are best fitted for her voice as it is now and not as it was 20-30 years ago. There is just so much artistry in her performances! Vocally she doesn't need to prove anything to anyone.

 

Yeah why on earth she has to suffer when singing some songs?

Some songs are highly demanding

she has already dedicated all her life to the fans.

 

I said it many times before, she should go for songs that are within her actual range

then some songs will have to be in different arrangements/keys as well

and the thought that she have this long Tour ahead of while she keep putting

so much strain on her vocals quite worry me.

She has one off night and all of a sudden shes a vocal victim whos losing her voice day by day... sheesh, she had huge improvement with last nights show and i assume there will be the same level of vocals if not better tonight, then shes Montreal bound

Yeah. I think she could take lessons from Barbra Streisand on that.

And Barbra didn't perform half the times Celine did....

People went too far with thinking she is losing her voice, I don't think so. There are things that can be done

about the singing to let it be more easy for her and really just have fun, it's about time no.

vocally better ? It's so paintfull at some points. Even SSDA was sometimes flat, like she is almost loosing her voice on it.

highly complicated song to sing live. Also Courage in the climax parts.

 

I don't disrespect the big bucks people are paying for seeing her, wanting to hear her golden notes

that's not the case but on the other side, sometimes I think people forget Celine is just a human being

and not a robot when it comes to singing. Age brings with it certain limits with singing. That's the reality.

It is more likely to be Croatia... Serbia is not in EU, but our Arena is larger, so who knows...
