One thing we’ve learned from the past is her team cuts songs FAST — so getting audio and video recordings of these initial shows is crucial!

 

But most importantly — I hope everyone attending these very first shows has FUN!!!

 

and it is a french show so the english setlist can be different

My main issue with the opening night of the 2017 tour is NO GOOD AUDIO OR VIDEO OF MISLED OR TREAT HER LIKE A LADY OR MY LOVE lol

Guys what do you think are the chances that Celine opens her french shows of the tour with Des mots qui sonnent? That would be amazing and in 2013 the audience went crazy for it during the USF concert :wub:

 

I would imagine that, just like TCWT, she’ll open with an English song. During that tour, she opened both her French and English language shows the same. (Which makes sense - that way they don’t have to create two different opening moments.)

So Celine’s team just posted a picture of her which says “Are you Lying Down?” With “Lying Down” being capitalized, I take it to mean that’s the new single coming. Which makes sense, since that’s what was played during Carpool Karaoke.

Overjoyed and world on a string fit the criteria more than ALL the songs. I think you and i have vastly different opinions because the two you mentioned are her worst IMO.

I meant all the songs OTHER than Overjoyed and WOAS have the emotion and power notes you mentioned, which i thought were the criteria? Think we’ve got confused somewhere...

I believe so too lol. Basically if its cheesy or boring then as a cover i don't like it. I feel they did well with covers in taking chances era as they were all powerful. (I just wouldn't have made alone a single). Other eras since have been safe easier choices.

I love WOAS! It’s actually always been one of my favorite songs. Celine’s was over the top, yes. But it was Celine in Vegas! And that final note, yessssssss!!

I wouldn’t be so sure of that. If it’s true that the back catalogue has been getting attention, “When I Fall In Love” would be a very easy and safe addition to the tour. Not only is it a well-known cover (we all know Celine loves performing those), the song also garnered pretty strong success. (It’s still played on radio today.) Plus, it’s attached to a fairly well-known and beloved romantic comedy film of the 1990s starring Tom Hanks - “Sleepless In Seattle.” Hanks has been getting a lot more attention recently due to his upcoming “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” film. So, the synergy that could be attached to it would work well on some level.

Am I the only one who loved her cover of "Love of my life"??

 

It was beautiful,soft, lovely, just kaven and her.

Also think that was an amazing idea to go to the back of the arena, so the fans that can't afford first row seats had the chance to see our Queen closer.

 

Hope she sing that song again ❤

I adore LOVE OF MY LIFE. It was the highlight of that tour for me. So simple and her vocals sounded so fluid and strong -- like the old days. I would love MANY performances like this during the COURAGE era. I hope she has a moment at the middle / back of the arena for the Courage World Tour too!!

 

LOML would be a fantastic bonus track!
