I like the stage so far. We don't even know what visuals will be incorporated.

 

Something to consider is that Celine likes to aim for intimacy with her audience lately and this stage does that. The one for Taylor's reputation tour is not intimate at all. She feels very distant imo.

 

Also, why do people like center stage designs? I hate them because inevitably the audience of three sides of the arena will either be looking at her back or not seeing her at all unless it's through a screen. It's also very tiring for her to be walking around the stage and up and down the arms, not to mention costume changes are more difficult. Celine may have tons of energy but even she must get tired after so many shows.

I think the best option would have been the end stage with a catwalk down the middle so she could reach fans that are at the other end of the arena.

 

Now a catwalk all the way from stage to the other side of the arena would work but the catwalks she has look pointless, even the TC stage looked better because the catwalks went to the middle of the arena.

I confess I'm surprised by the stage, it's not a big stage and the side walkways are small, have they not yet learned their homework, need to invest in an artistic director, I found the stage ugly, let's see when everything is working, but I will not create expectations.

They could have done more, a bigger stage, missed the opportunity.

I was more than a little skeptical about this tour, but after reading the French interviews with M. Aucoin, I have full faith this show will blow our minds. I was mostly worried about the “intimacy issue”, but now we can plainly see that her goal is to bring *the best thing* about Vegas (the proximity) on tour, and pair it with an unprecedented experience for the fans. New arrangements, new songs, new dance skills, new technology, new all-encompassing visuals... I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the stage design. It’s even better than I expected (and I have high expectations). It looks big and what Yves said about there being things that move sounds very promising.

It won’t be 40 songs in one show. It will be 40 songs overall. Remember that she has (at least) two versions of the show, an English and a French one. It will probably be around 25 English songs and 15 French songs in total. One English show will probably be around 20-25 songs and one French show 25 songs.

Actually, you’re incorrect. The US sales ARE superior to the canadian dates. But, mark this, the tour will be a sell out. They did more promo for this than the live tours, so again, wrong. There were HUNDREDS of tickets left merelt a week before the start of the Aus/NZ leg of the 2018 tour and yet still sold out, the 2017 tour also. And for 2016, the “all immediately sold out” thing isnt true... at all. I remember sitting up and looking at dates and the sales even during the shows, there were tickets for the next show still available but by the next day? Sold out. Considering youre never on here and come once every few week to spread negativity and argumentative points... why bother?

The only thing they did was the LA event which still ended badly with old songs being performed/fomo tease which was not even commented/the lamest questions and answers ever. And it was back in APRIL. Don't get me wrong, the whole idea was exciting and could mean changes for the better but it ended and they have just ignored the tour until today. As for the banners, even if they do promote it that way, then it doesn't do the work. As simple as that.

 

Tickets for all previous tours were sold out in your terms 95% almost immediately. And again don't lecture me on that because I attended all concerts in Paris in 2016, 7 concerts in 2017 and 4 in 2018 so I know very well what was happening and you how many did you attend? Yes, as I mentioned earlier, they kept adding some tickets over time but those were single tickets here and there, sometimes worst places sometimes front rows which were prpbably VIP and didn't sell, but we are talking about dozens of tickets not hundreds/thousands like now. And it's a situation ONLY 10 days before the tour.

 

I did post here daily but since there have been so many trolls like you here recently I don't really see the point. I just gave you a proof that your opinions do not have any grounds

First off, Jesus! The tour hasn’t started yet and the stage is barely lit. We have no idea of what kind of technical aspects it is capable of or what the visuals are. Chill out! After the first show of both the French Canadian and first English show in Cleveland, THEN we can complain.

 

Second, Taylor Swift toured in STADIUMS. This is an ARENA tour. They’d have to shrink the stage for anything like that to work.

I see it pointless to want to see what she does always in the colors of pink, everything is perfect and the usual Blah.

And not few fans of her got to this point of blindess where they can't handle at all any different opinion

If you look closely at the pictures we can see:

- neon lights that will come down from the ceiling

- protectors in the middle of the public (enlightened public?)

- a screen in height (maybe at the beginning of the show put a video then the screen goes up and we see Celine)

Why lie and say they only did the LA event? They did the LA event, Kimmel, they had huge posters all over the US, it was mentioned by James right after her CPK segment, she has had multipke posts that have been paid promoted on social media and also the venue have done the same, along with it being in every single article and interview that has been done since April 3rd. So dont sit there and lie.

When rene died everyone thought surely 2016 french tour would be a lame setlist.. it was most creative of her career.

 

Following year rolled right into another tour with two (once again) very unique setlists. This was with non stop Vegas shows up intil maybe 9 days before the tour started. The english set was amazing and the french one was really great too.

 

In many of these instances these sets were put together in crunch time with significantly less time to prepare than is now.

 

Sure the Vegas sets tended to water down with the wrong songs removed, and 2018 tour was a sight letdown on the setlist with probably the least changes in awhile but overall im going to have faith we will have a unique show.

Hopefully the album is OUT when they announce the European leg dates, because otherwise, I expect the worst with ticket sales here.

I must be the only person who doesn’t give a damn about what the stage looks like. For something like “A New Day...” of course all the “extras” were important but for tours I’m just there to see and hear Celine to be honest. Lights, catwalks, screens etc I can take or leave.

Yes it looks like it could have been great 20 years ago and yes wow. All I have to say is wow. I support our one and only savior Céline. Wow superb stage. All the stairs! Look at them how straight they are!!!! Wow. You can sence crativity somehwere under the floor. Wow! Just wow. Amazing. Truly wonderful. NOTHING I havr ever seen before. Ever truly. All the other artists go for so much more. This is just enough! We should all be ever so satisfied. And I see dancers! So many dancers will fit on all that flat floor space and run up and down all those stairs. That's all that counts. I am so amazed.

- Apparently they are working together with Silent Partner, responsible for visuals and also worked with Katy, Taylor, Pink.

 

- They are using the same technology as some of the big names in the industry

I must be the only person who doesn’t give a damn about what the stage looks like. For something like “A New Day...” of course all the “extras” were important but for tours I’m just there to see and hear Celine to be honest. Lights, catwalks, screens etc I can take or leave.
