The mayor of Bucharest just announced in a press conference that Céline Dion's management has contacted them and asked to organise a show on the National Stadium. The mayor said that the show will probably happen as there is huge demand but they're still negotiating as the stadium is supposed to host matches of the UEFA Euro 2020 next summer as well. They agreed with Céline's team to host the show in July 2020. I'm extremely excited by this (I would've gone anywhere to see Céline but this is definitely more convenient)! Edited by Céline RO

Yep, putting my chips on a stadium leg for Europe, so that may unfortunately mean for those living in the netherlands... the dreaded Amsterdam Arena Edited by AdrienneM

Hope they manage to make this happen for all Romanian Fans!

 

This time, Celine may give concerts in European countries she never visited before or not for years.

 

Fans not living in the UK, DE, FR, NL, BE, DK... should also have the chance to see her once in this century in their own country.

Not to mention the awful sound.

 

Yep, putting my chips on a stadium leg for Europe, so that may unfortunately mean for those living in the netherlands... the dreaded Amsterdam Arena

than better choose Gelredome, from where i was seated the sound was not bad at all. And of course , Ziggodome would be the best option..

I think they did it specifically because they know its UEFA football season and theyre hosting games at the venue... so i assume they were doing to to try and negotiate

This is beautifull and true :blush: but too ambitious.

 

Well I'm not that good with numbers but I have the feeling that this kind of information about the truck number is given for every Celine tour and other big acts, and it's always about 100 trucks. It means absolutly nothing in term of final staging result. This article looks empty like they had nothing to say.

 

I'm more team Scielle, I'm not interested at all about dancers and gimmicks.

 

Still, high tech does not necessarily means a show a la Madonna or Britney Spears. I would hate that.

Recently, we saw artists like Lord or Kanye West with an impressive high tech stage that still litteraly concentrate on the artist while giving you a minimalist vibe. It is like a global visual experience that wraps the audience and the artist. I would love this kind of set up if she goes toward a high tech show.

Doesn't the Johan Cruijff ArenA also have a retractable roof? I think it can be fully closed as well.

Didn’t Celine say in a video that last spring that they were putting ideas together for the tour and they wanted to do something her fans had never seen before on tour? That sounds like she’s going to have a big, tech-heavy show like other artists today. She’s just come off 8 years of stand-there-and-sing.

Water From The Moon would be be at the top of the list for me. Also, if she has crazy fancy tech/visuals/dancers...she could easily do one or two “deep cuts” for the fans. People who don’t know the song can focus on all the other stuff going on.

Roof closed is always better since in summer it's getting dark late and all the visuals will just disappear.

Thats LITERALLY why i said it.... because the roof being able to close means it can be dark and wont ruin the visuals, which it would if it was light... but.... okay
