Courage World Tour - EU shows CANCELED

Why some fans think the shows that start soon won't include some new songs from the new album?

If so it will be a fraud I don't think Celine will do something like that

"Needed in the chaos and confusion, from the plains to City Hall

Needed where the proud who walk the wire are set to fall"

Does anybody know how ticket sales are coming along ,

I wish we had some news about the album! Like just give me something Team Céline..a release date, or track list or something...ughhh!!!

I have high hopes for the album, but I still haven’t bought tickets for the tour yet... The non-nosebleed prices in Chicago are more than my rent!!! Compared to Vegas, where $300 got you in the Front Orchestra, it’s laughable to think I’d pay that to sit in the back of some huge basketball arena with bad acoustics. I figure if I’m going, I’m going to sit close enough to see her without binoculars.

My plan is to wait and see what the North American set list looks like. Then, it should be easy to decide if it’s worth $500-600 to see in person, or if I should just wait for European tickets to go on sale, and just make a vacation of it - because then I’d surely hear different songs, rather than sit through 2 hours of the same old English hits with new costumes!!

The album is not out and it already feels old.

Can’t wait for the next one lolll

Front row vegas wasnt $300 for a looooong while. $300 for tour seats will normally get you like on the sides. I paid $350 for my second Miami show and im sitting in Row G Section 118

I got floor seats 2nd block for $248 in Houston. (cheaper then I would pay for Vegas) I went through the venue, Toyota Center. It's all the fricken fees that are attached to the price that jacks it all up! :pinch: :cursing: Edited by DionFanAlways
I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

I'm so sick about the fact Celine doesn't do anything about this robbery on tickets.

Waiting for one brave artist to speak against this.

There are so many loyal fans of her that never could afford to see her from a normal seat because of that.

The fees have gotten out of hand. It should be a flat rate fee no matter the price of the ticket not a %. Not to mention why are we paying fees when we are the ones that do all the work buying the tickets online. I would understand a fee if you call it in or do it at the box office.

Why is there no album thread?

because members like to FFFFF it up with endless discussions, going in circles, getting into fights and ruin it for others.

I will reopen it. And I pray to the dear DION in Canada that it will stay friendly, polite and without harassing this time!

I thought she was 'sick' that day, or was that during the Asian press conference?

Are y'all saying she can't wear the same shirt twice?!
Posted

Hahaha yes!!! She is the queen of fashion :P

At least 5 outfits a day! :giggle:

Same hair, same studio, same outfit. But we know she been recording for years now!!

Really curious to see the dates on all the songs. Wonder if the Egg White and Diane Warren songs are eventually on the album. Those pics were in the 2017 tourbook already if I'm correct

The Asia announcement video was probably pre recorded, the video was released on January 10th, and she most certainly didnt record it then, she looked super different... also considering she was wearing this outfit in the Oceania announcement also, i doubt it was recorded same day as the press conference... she also doesnt sound ill in that vid, as she did in the press conference

Since Asia has been brought up. In our country up to now “I Love You Goodbye” is still popular. One of the best songs of Céline. I hope she’ll sing this song in this tour.

Here one of the host sang her céline fav song. Even though she can’t sing lol

Agreed it’s a total rip off, there’s no other way to describe it.

And because most ticket sites have timers putting you under pressure people just blindly accept the fees and pay them however high they are because they feel like they will lose their tickets. It’s all a total sham.

Omg yeah!

So many people dont know this, but if you phone the venues box office or visit them in person, you can get tickets soooo much cheaper as it doesnt have any of ticketmasters %’s on them. A $800 front row seat on ticketmaster will be like $400 at the venue box office

Let's say that her being quiet about it makes it even worst.

Yes every artist doesn't give a damn about this robbery because they know people will buy tickets at any price.

But, If only people will boycot it, only then things will be changed. I hope one day to see such thing.

Complains won't never help in this case.

And if she keeps this low-profile shows, with no visuals and fireworks other than her onstage and her voice, and asking $700 and $1,000 for front row seats, I'm afraid the critics will start someday. Because her voice keeps changing and she will need something else happening on stage to "distract" the audience from her flaws and the playback and not holding the belts that long anymore and such. She can't pretend to concentrate all the attention on her voice when her voice is growing apart from the original recordings more and more each year.

The day when the audience will ask *something more* in addition to her voice to justify those crazy prices will arrive. It's just normal.

For a 51 year old who has been singing for nearly 40 years and has performed over 2,000 concerts... id say her voice is still impressive to say the least.

I think some fans are arguably a bit delusional (not the best word to use but i cant think of anything less crazy than that which has the same meaning) to assume that she could ever sound similar compared to herself 20 years ago, even if she had only done 20 shows a year for those 20 years. Voices age, deepen, change, develop and shift regardless of how great you take care of your voice and how little you perform, its gonna change.

No artist will ever sound the same if we compare them 20 years apart. Even someone who performs as little as and has a great a technique as Barbra streisand or Lara Fabian... compare them at 25 and 45 and the difference will be very clear. I mean, Barbras voice is way deeper and is a shadow of what it was when she was 50, but she still charges $2,000 for front row, and no one would complain, because she still barbra streisand and can still pull of some great vocals, same for Lara.

We can never compare vocals like that, to say “oh look how bad she sounds here, i wish she sounded like she did in 1996, if she only did 100 shows since then, she’d still sound like that” is stupid frankly. Even 2002, sounds different to 1996-1997-1998-1999, 2012 sounds different to 2008-2009-2011... its simply unrealistic to constantly compare vocals.

If we examine how she sounds live, without comparing what she sounded like 10 years ago and basing it off of solely what we hear, shes doing perfectly fine and can still sing her butt of whenever she wants. Hyde Park vocally was already a big improvement from Vegas, so with another 2 months on top of that of rest, im sure she will sound great when she comes back in September.

I mean, Mariah (god love her), sounded drastically different from 1995-1998, (as did Celine but not to the same extent), and yet she only did 27 shows in that time period and had a great vocal technique, so it begs the question, can we ever sit and compare years old vocals in the studio/live to now? No. We cant

That's true, and I for one don't constantly compare her voice between years nor I have an ear to identity playback use like other experts here (good for them!). But Céline is using and merging playback with live vocals more and more frequently and in some cases is now becoming very obvious and even embarrassing in some cases (MHWGO, ABM). She needs to step up her game with some songs and either record new playback tracks with her current voice, or adapt the songs with another key so the change with the playback is not that obvious.

Also, I do agree it's just normal that your voice changes with age, like skin and every muscle in the body, but I do also believe her Vegas marathonian years have taken a toll on this aspect and she would have a less nasal, raspy voice at 50 hadn't she performed that many shows in the last 16 years. And of course her passion when singing those certain collection of songs that she's sick to perform all the time would be way less damaged and would translate into more "enthusiasm" when performing them. That, I have no doubt about it. Like I said, it's not the same to perform MHWGO or ABM 200 times in 15 years than more than nearly 1,200 times :)

Actually, post 2015, shes lipped LESS than she did from 1996-2014, this year even, shes lipping only 1 100% lipped song, 2 songs 90% lipped, one song 70% lipped, the two ABM lipped notes and the MHWGO climax. Thats roughly 6 songs with lipped elements in them, compared to 1996 when she had 7 lipped songs, and far less than 2003-2011 when she had 8 lipped in AND, 10 lipped in he TCWT and 8 in Celine (2011-2014)...

However, i personally, believe if she was only doing like a mini tour per year (15-25 dates), she could do the playback tracks live, as we saw in carpool and the hyde park rehearsals. I also wouldnt mind if she took IACBTMN, BYLM, TPOL, MHWGO and ABM down another half-step to be able to comfortably sing them live consistently.. but hey thats just me

Yes, this time if she will heavily use the playbacks it might get nasty with press and critics

and there won't be a LV residency to save her from that

there it seemed no one cared to pay so much for so many playback tracks.

For her own good she must stop with it :I

Her actual voice coach is not helping her and something needs to be done

who that she just doesn't care anymore

Anyway hope she won't do the Madonna's type of shows in order to be able just to hold a show.
