celine28 Posted September 22, 2022 at 10:15 AM Posted September 22, 2022 at 10:15 AM W9 (France) is showing the special L'énigme Céline Dion tonight. "But who is hiding behind this living myth/legend", so basically the person behind the "singer Celine Dion". It seems like a rehash or previous specials. https://twitter.com/...65Lm67Qp_XcuwYQ For those who want to watch it : https://9docu.org/regarder-et-telecharger-le-documentaire-l-enigme-celine-dion-gratuitement/

So this time around, I really believe we'll hear something in the next week or two. That Star Academie rumour has been around for a few days now (that I’ve seen at least) and gradually getting picked up by (somewhat) more reliable media. There could well be something to it, as I could see her team doing this to give her a substantial comeback PR push - that show has really strong ratings, right? 1
jpatdeleon09 Posted September 25, 2022 at 06:17 AM Posted September 25, 2022 at 06:17 AM I wonder why they changed the song so much for the movie. Also, her voice is really pitched. https://youtu.be/tu8XuUXaB3U If you buy an original copy/dvd/digital. It’s in normal pitched. Usually, pirated ones have pitched problems like this one

She doesn't sound strong nor confident only as if she was about to cry. That's so alarming I feel Celine always comes across a bit sad or depressed in her recorded videos for people - even for a happy cause. It’s like she enjoys the dramatic pauses and speaking so softly and dramatically. It can be a bit ott tho, IMO 5

It's like she enjoys the dramatic pauses and speaking so softly and dramatically. It can be a bit ott tho, IMO Yeah, it's a very Celine way of speaking for official occasions. If it's Celine, it's gonna be idiosyncratic I mean, she doesn't seem very sunny, but she was the same way in the tribute message for Whitney Houston on Oprah almost 15 years ago. More of a serious tone. Yes, the ceremony was yesterday, in Toronto. Also inducted were Alanis Morissette, Bryan Adams, Jim Vallance, and Daniel Lavoie. Olivia Rodrigo was there to induct Alanis, and artists like Alessia Cara, Charlotte Cardin, Deborah Cox, Jessie Reyez, Corey Hart performed. Wow, so many of those names have Celine connections. Alessia even has impersonated Celine a few times on shows and stuff. Too bad Celine isn't around to attend these events, whether performer or as a normal guest. Dancing_Queen Posted September 28, 2022 at 10:07 PM Posted September 28, 2022 at 10:07 PM (edited) Does anyone know how long Céline's Twitter account has been following Julie Snyder, Guy A.Lepage and Tout le monde en parle (Québec version)? The most recent follows show up on top, right? In that case, she followed them after she followed the IACBTMN cast. So must be fairly recent. Is she going to do the rounds on Québec TV? Or it could be whoever runs her socials just randomly waking up - their standard M.O. 😏 I’m secretly hoping - probably in vain - that while she may be to sick to perform, she’s not too sick to record, and that we’ll see a new French album on the other side or this hiatus. It’s been 6 years since EUS, after all.Wishful thinking, I know, but would be so nice to be surprised, for once.

I wonder why she get that little recognition from the media towards her music. Mariah and Whitney are in the list. So weird Michael Jackson and Shania Twain are not in it also... Honestly when you see this list, the Celine Dion album (1992), D'eux or Falling Into You could have easily fit in. I quote those 3 ones 'cause to me those albums are the only to have kind of a universe/mood and a guideline between songs (even if i love LTAL or TCOML, you can feel that it's a combinaison of songs without really a logic behind).

She can never catch a break with the critics in these magazines it seems. Even when they include her song on their Greatest Songs List, they mention Jim Steinman first.... ...because Jim Steinman is respected as a songwriter/producer in his own right. Since Céline does not write or produce her own work, she has to be judged by the songwriters and producers she chooses to work with. In her English repertoire, they are on average are bland or "middle-of-the-road" -Jim Steinman being one of the few exceptions because he crafted a specific style. 1
