Random, especially since this interview is quite old now, but CBC’s Q is replaying the Tom Power interview with Céline today -

I can only hope they know something we don’t about an upcoming PR comeback push…or maybe it’s just because of the recent film news. 🤔

It may all be nothing but coincidence - and it's not like there's anything particularly major or unusual that's happened - but I do get the sense that they're slowly gearing up the Céline machine again, prepping for a return next year.

 

The updated RIAA certifications (ready to be cited in press releases and articles everywhere), finally acknowledging that the movie exists and her role, sorting out more of her YouTube presence, getting her name back out there a little and in a more positive light (vs. nothing but speculation on her health) - it all feels like getting the table set behind the scenes for the tour, the film release, and new music in 2023.

 

It may amount to nothing! But it's nice to see some rumblings of activity (finally!) again.

Im just listening to the LMBTL album in dolby atmos on my 5.1 surround system and it sounds freaking amazing!!! So many nuances! :) It’s a totally different experience than listening on headphones

 

Incredible sounds so good lol :D it sounds so well produced when you listen to it in this new format. Unfinished Songs sounds sick! I also love Thank you, Thankful, LMBTL. At 17 and HDYKTMP sounds incredible!!! It’s amazing, I’m loving this album even more now.

 

Generally speaking all songs of this album sound really amazing in dolby atmos! They truly stand out! The production is so on point.

Overjoyed is the standout for me. Have you listened to Courage on your sound system? The speakers really make SUCH a difference. I'm not sure, but I think i notice fewer changes throughout Courage than LMBTL. I'm really enjoying Miracle, too.

Yes, Courage sounds great too, and I changed my mind about Miracle. I like it now :D In some small way is such a great song!

Team Celine is definitely beginning a ramp-up. I think Love Again is going to be pretty big. I hope they use some songs from Courage with some new songs for the soundtrack. It sounds like most of the songs from the album already fit the plot and theme of the movie. Successful promo with the soundtrack could be a perfect leverage to give some new life into the final Courage concert dates. She's a pro surrounded by some of the best in the biz, and she's had a few years break to think about the comeback. I predict 2023 will be the year of Celine!

 

Let's just pray it's not just one song and done....

I can see that needing clarification on Twitter lately given Elon antics... but IG?

I suppose her fan base is of a generation that can't tell a fan account from her actual account. The number of people I keep seeing addressing fan accounts as if they were Celine (and same for RC fan accounts...) Clearly some fell for it recently to the point Team Celine felt the need to issue a warning in that post several weeks ago.

I'm not even going to post it here, but there's yet another tabloid "biography" out on Celine. From the people who bring you Closer and other such junk. Another "expert" going to give Elisabeth Reynaud a run for her money in a round of promo press, I suspect. :wtf:

There was a similar account (can’t recall the name off the top of my head) that appeared earlier this year, teasing micro clips of the same videos. They all seemed to be of Céline on a summer vacation, circa 1985. Those clips were heavily watermarked - and there was no audio, so the identity of the camera person would not be compromised.

 

Obviously someone got their hands on some VHS tapes filmed by either the Dion family (Claudette, anyone?!) or a close family friend.
