So... what do we think are the odds of Celine finally making it onto SNL this season?

Covid is still coviding, so they'll probably need to promo the Vegas show domestically, plus there are those remaining CWT tour dates, which I understand aren't sold out. And Text for You, and Aline... one would expect she'll be in the public eye quite a bit in the coming year, so maybe, just maybe, she can finally get the gig?

And there are so many other online segments that a good media push would have her do.

I think what went wrong with Courage is that Team Celine and Celine posted about her new album very early. Like 6 months before, revealing almost all including the name.

 

If they would have told us about her new album in August just before her World Tour and released Music Videos of Courage and Imperfections instead of releasing audio before than video, the views and streams would have been more.

 

Trust me, Courage got a lot of hype from media, but Celine and her Team didn't use the opportunity perfectly as I know they can. She didn't even perform any song in the Jimmy Fallon show she went to or any other big show she went during that time. She should have, maybe they did have plans to go to Ellen or something.

Yes, the Promotion for Courage started Way too Early. The Promo should have happened right after release

I still lament that she wasn't a musical guest in 2019. I think if she'd performed, let's say, Imperfections and Change My Mind (a then-current single, and an "edgier" album track, keeping in mind the tone and cachet of the show), a whole new audience might have freshened their perspective of Céline.

Alongside SNL, NPR Tiny Desk is my dream media appearance for her. I so desperately would love for her and her team to experiment more with presenting her music in acoustic/alternate arrangements.

 

(Tangentially, I can't imagine she'd ever do it, but Céline on Hot Ones would be a hoot!)

I highly doubt SNL wants anything to do with Celine. I think it would take her having a major hit again for them to look twice at her. But that show is still too cynical to have Celine perform.

Yes! I think we've listed in the forum before other opportunities, but I forgot about Hot Ones! Brilliant idea!!!

 

 

I think a Twitter campaign for the NPR Tiny Desk is definitely achievable.

SNL is still a cynical show just like it was in the 90s. The humor is still biting. I haven’t seen them have an older artist who wasn’t rock in years. There’s as good a chance of Barbra Streisand being asked to do SNL or Celine being asked to do the Super Bowl halftime show as there is Celine being asked to be on SNL. (Her have having another huge hit/movie theme being the exception.)

Yea I have been wondering that myself... In the past year & a half since I joined this forum, I have NOT seen ONE single Moderator or Administrator active on this forum... & I know that all forums DO have Moderators & Administrators (or @ least they SHOULD!)

 

So may I ask what has happened to the Mods/Admins of this forum? Have they always been like this since the beginning of this forums existence (& I have no idea how long this forum has been around), or is it just because of the pandemic the reason why the Admins/Mods stopped posting on here? Sorry I dont have the time to browse through old posts to find out... Thanks so much whoever answers this!

This forum is so old, like more than 15 years old. Maybe they left, or aren't online? I hope they are alive.

I think they are online but doesn't look through forum a lot.
