Well, there's Je T'aime Encore if you count that.

 

That's true! Forgot about that one. I know she has to rely on writers, so it makes sense, but still one might have expected more. I think it could have been used in a more natural, groundbreaking way....but the public and a mainstream audience probably weren't ready for that.

The biggest problem for Celine being an actress is going to be her accent. It limits who she can play. I wonder if she would be able to do a standard British dialect or standard American dialect. There just aren't a lot of French-Canadian roles.

I don't think that should be an issue. Just as they can make a character British they can make them french-canadian. Or she'd work with a dialect coach as many actors do when they need to use an accent.

Yes, but can she actually pull it off? I wonder if she’s ever worked with a dialect coach before. Not everyone can do different dialects well. It’s just one of the many things I’d ask her if ever given the chance.

And a dialect coach is a lot of extra work. Not that she can't do that but that's a huge time commitment she may not have or want to give. I know she did this when she learned English but she also took a year off to focus on that while they transitioned her image, etc.

We can't know for sure until she tries but I think she'd do well enough, she puts her all in everything she does to do it well. If it's absolutely crucial for the character otherwise she can just act with her accent. I think that getting characters that fit her well is the most important part.

I love her accent, but I think she should have hired a dialect coach years ago so she could slip into it when the need arises. I don't think it would be too difficult for her skill-wise, she has always had amazing impersonations of other people and their voices.

It is impossible to escape and outweighs so many other photos of her. It's wild and a little annoying if you're trying to search for new or rare images of Celine.

 

I think I speak on behalf of all fans when I say that this is very unfortunate. There are so many better pictures from the past 2 years (even ones in outrageous outfits) that express her personality better than this one.

 

Did she piss off someone at Getty Images? LOL

 

I guess the upside is that it’s not one of her “skeletor” pictures from PFW 2019.

I think it's because music festivals have a *large* amount of photographers from different outlets. And 1) Celine isn't very often outside of Vegas 2) profesionally photographed actually singing 3) photographed with prime outdoor lighting.

 

Being locked up in Vegas means fewer photos. I loved how during the Celinaissance she did various photo shoots.

I'm not saying it's not iconic, but you can't deny it's a very divisive outfit...

That's a very good explanation I had not thought of. The press coverage was undoubtedly much larger at that event, especially for her first few songs. Once some photographers had got their photo of Céline at the start of the concert, they may not have stuck around to document the rest of the show.

It is really nice to have HD photographs of Celine, anytime and anywhere. And each outfit from that night was photographed, but for some reason that blue outfit photo is clogging up the internet. I like the vibe, but not the clogging lol.

 

We need more Celine photos that are not in or for Vegas.

So, it's almost been an entire generation since Celine has released a single with a vinyl dance promo release (IDAN). Like there are people out there smoking cigarettes who were born after IDAN was released. They will never go to a discotheque and hear Celine dance songs... unless... *I won't take it lying down!*

Well I’m sure she’s just enjoying her vacation with her kids and family. Not like she has any exciting news to share or hype up some project or anything. :giggle:

 

Frankly, I’m shocked Resorts World isn’t pumping out promos left and right. Back when AND premiered, it was a media frenzy! I remember E! News (remember them?!) had live coverage of the opening night, and even several days/weeks before the premiere. Maybe things will pick up a little in October.

4 months?? It has been MUCH LONGER than that hasnt it? Her social media has been SUPER QUIET for the most part, except for a few random pictures here & there, & a few updates about show postponements, for the past 18 months since this pandemic started!!

 

I dont know, it has felt lije it has been much longer to me since we have last seen or heard from Celine... I am also really missing her too, this past 2 years have been really sucky, sorry but I gotta say it... 😥💔

Is that official that he is allowing that? I cannot really see any other explanation for the lack of promo to be honest.

See, that's what I'm a little afraid of, especially since the Backstreet Boys cancelled their November residency as well. TC hasn't talked about the residency for MONTHS, which - even for them- is strange.

the first 2 nights are 99% sold out , So I think they will go on as planned
