Listening to my favorite english album of Céline again "Taking Chances". I really love this album. Rock genre. I think this the first album she did that is not her genre. Listening to Fade Away now.. SHE ROCKS!

yea i like alot of songs from the "taking chances" album too! my fave songs from that album are: "taking chances", "fade away", "cant fight the feeling", "this time", "alone", "eyes on me", & "shadow of love"... 😍

 

& i do wished i could have seen celine during the "taking chances world tour" back then, but my parents were suffering from health problems @ that time & i had to take care of them & my disabled sister, so i couldnt been able to catch a show during that tour, & also couldnt had afforded tickets either, it was a very rough time, but anywho it is what it is, hopefully i will get to see celine finally during the "courage world tour" in washington dc once this coronavirus pandemic is over, providing nothing ends up getting cancelled though @ some point)... i cant wait!

 

 

by the way does anybody know how to START A NEW TOPIC? because i think it would be AWESOME to do a 'SURVIVOR' game topic for each individual of celines albums, both english & french albums, while we are waiting for this pandemic to end & for concerts to start back up again... so what do you all think about that?

I think so. Barnev can sing in French and imagining his tone with this song.... I think it will work.. Maybe? :)

hmmm who the heck knows really lol... 😜

 

but yea i think pretty much all (or almost all) of celines albums have "unreleased songs" that for some reason or another did not make the final cut... some i can COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND (such as "calling you" "reason i go on", & "super love", sorry i do not care much for those songs,) but others that i think SHOULD have been on their respective albums (such as "all because of you", "send me a lover", & the song you had mentioned: "there comes a time"/"let me be your soldier"!) 😋

 

& speaking of unreleased songs, remember when celine herself said last year in an interview that she had recorded over 40 songs for "courage"??? yep i remember her saying that... & i wonder if any of those other 20+ songs will be "leaked" to the internet someday... hmmm one can only dream right lol... 😉

Yes, it was originally part of Taking Chances. I remember before the album was released there was some kind of listening party where some people got to listen to snippets of each song, and There Comes A Time was there, but it was titled Let Me Be Your Soldier then, which is a much better title for the song in my opinion. If I remember correctly, they replaced Let Me Be Your Soldier with This Time. I've always wanted to know why they replaced it and changed the title of the song.

 

I still keep "Let Me Me Be Your Solider" as a part of my tracklist in iTunes as the 19th track of Taking Chances.

Agreed, it's a much better title. Idk why, but in my head that song is the companion song to "This Time"...of course, with their altered title it sounds too similar lol.

Yes. I get them too. I didn't subscribe to anything but sometimes I am notified by these ludicrous articles. "Celine dying", "Céline entre la vie et la mort", "Celine, death surrounds her", "Celine, the fans are worried." I haven't received notifications for a while, thanks God.

nah i would IGNORE those silly tabloid "articles", they are FAKE!

 

we all know celine has NEVER been anorexic, & she has stated so TONS of times in her interviews!

 

& right now because of the pandemic & almost everything is still closed/concerts & events still postponed, etc, many of these people have lots of time on their hands... & with the way most modern media works nowadays is, if they dont have anything to actual report, they will just MAKE UP stuff lol... 😜

I think her Taking Chances album since that album’s genre is mostly Rock :)

YES!!! Anything other than that freaking BATB!! I loved its comeback in 2011. but now it really needs to go!!

WIFIL has grown on me so much over the years. I think they could pull it off nicely!!

I think it was because the war in the Middle East, Al qaeda etc. was turning ugly in 2008. There were more and more reports on things not being handled correctly, thus giving 'soldier' a negative connotation. So it was wise to change the name. (Although it doesn't fit the song as good as Let Me Be Your Soldier of course).

Hmm.. interesting word choice. If that’s prostitution, then what do you call the hundreds of daytime TV appearances Céline has done to promote singles/albums/tours, not to mention her dalliance with fragrances, kids clothing line, handbags, etc.?
