There's a Rolling Stone 100 Greatest Singers of All Time list circulating on social media right now - from 10 years ago - and mostly it's a lot of people being outraged Celine is not even on it. There's very much a "Huh, what are you smoking, RS?" sentiment out there.

Funny how much Rolling Stone changed their tune on Celine in these past few years.

Like, just in 2010 they didn't even put her on a list that had Bjork and Dylan on it as "greatest singers of all time". :giggle: (And, I mean, that would make sense if it was a songwriters list, but Dylan a #7 greatest singer?! Um, love him, but no.)

This has really taken off today in a big way.

Lots of people upset by lack of women (only 2 in the top 20!), lack of Streisand, Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Celine, and disbelief about the people who are on there.

The general consensus seems to be RS lost all sorts of credibility with this one!

OK, this is just one of many like it, but why is it that Celine is so revered in Jamaica?

There's a whole bit about it in the Carl Wilson book, too, but I keep seeing it constantly all over social media. They worship her over there!!

It's a whole thing. This month alone I've seen two tweets go semi viral, one about how they were going to "bully" Canada to take Celine from them and another "claiming" Celine as Jamaican lol.

Now I wish she had done a professional photoshoot for this Haha. It's great.
