Guys, in the official facebook group there is a watching party going on where they show DETAILED AND EXTENSIVE recording sessions for 1 fille and 4 types. And I would love to know where they got this footage from, since it's so extensive! Was this ever included on any DVD? I have all her DVDs from that time and I never saw that footage! Can someone please help?

They had an extensive version with footage only from the recording studio. It was much more extensive.

 

I think what you posted was included on the special edition of the album that also included a DVD with this 15 min footage, right?

 

But in the fb group they had longer videos of the recording sessions. I really wonder where they got that from.

With so many favorable reviews it seems to me that they only posted the worst ... 2,5 and 3 * ??? I've seen review links with 4 and even 4.5 * in this forum.

 

And if possible, can anyone update the number of albums sold by Celine on her Wikipedia page? There are already 250 million.

Did Céline graduate from high school?

 

No. She dropped out of school at 14. One of the bios said she was supposed to be doing some sort of home study plan while traveling for her career but never really followed it. I guess she completely dropped out at some point.

 

But that was common in her family- I think I read somewhere that Michel was the only one of her siblings to graduate from high school. I’m not sure about that, though.

Surely if that had happened we would have heard about it at least once?

 

But then again, she goes to RC's hockey games regularly and the locals are so used to it, those outings never show up on social media. So I guess stranger things have happened.

 

Anyway, that tweet is now up to 3.4 million views, 228k likes, and 26k retweets.

Nice find.

It's also quite telling about how cash-strapped they were... that the kids had to go work to contribute to putting food on the table. Really makes it stark just how much pressure there must have been on Celine even as a teenager, once she started making money. Explains her being somewhat exasperated in that Lise Payette interview in the early 90s, where she talked about how hard that was once she started being the primary breadwinner for everyone and kept getting calls when people needed money.

Yes, and the account there of the sessions is remarkably consistent with the account in the Germain ‘97 bio of Celine. It says that Phil yelled at Dave Platel (referenced in the Phil bio as a guy from the record company, but in Celine’s bio as Dave Platel) - Rene got angry that Dave was being treated like that and walked out and canceled the sessions. In Celine’s bio, it says that she looked at Rene and knew what he was going to do and was in total agreement, and she actually walked out first (to the parking lot with Dave), while Rene told Phil why they were leaving.

Any chance anyone has a HQ silhouette of Celine in this photo? I'm making a shirt for my sister for Christmas and was hoping to put a small silhouette of Celine on the back of it. The shirt is dark so I would need just the outline (no white background). I know I've seen silhouettes in the past but cant for the life of me find this one in a decent quality. It goes on forever...(I think I'm just too old to get this sort of thing)... but to save you from watching the full 7.5 hours (what?!?!), I watched a bit of it and here's what I learned:

 

- Celine effectively made her own costume from Halloween decorations around the room, "ripping decorations off the wall"

- "she was super f***' cool" and "a joy to work with" and is quirky and funny and super warm and kind and humble

- Jordan was contacted out of the blue, by email, and on her social media, by someone on Team Celine

- it later turned out that Dee had worked with one of her friends / fellow make-up artists, and presumably it was Dee who found them & suggested to Celine

- it was Pepe's first Halloween

- they had to sign an NDA beforehand and didn't know if they were going to be able to take any photos or even talk about having done this

 

The Celine bit starts at about 20min in, and I only listened through to about 1hr... but this goes on and on! (so there could be more).

 

Bottom line, it's a really fascinating look into the behind-the-scenes goings-on over at Team Celine.

I agree, but again some people would also watch a 7.5 hours video of a behind-the-scene Courage Tour or Courage recording. Just saying...
