Apparently Celine is going to be featured in the Fox's New Year's Eve Countdown with Steve Harvey to ring in 2020! :clap:

 

That's what's coming up on my TV guide anyways. It says that it's in 2 parts. The 1st part starts at 8:00pm ET and the 2nd half starts at 11:00pm ET I think if I remember correctly, Celine appeared in this same Steve Harvey countdown last year? I wonder if it's going to be a new in person performance, video message or pre recorded performance from the tour. The last option is the most logical, but I'm still curious to see what it will be. Hmmm :hmm: :-D

It has been very hush hush on the Celine front lately. Hmm? :hmm: I have a feeling she's gearing up for something big for the 2nd half of the tour. Celine started the 1st half being sick with a vocal virus, so she couldn't really make much changes along the way. Now that she's better and probably weaned of the Prednisone, she can get back into tip top form and go full force into things again. I know it can sometimes take awhile to wean yourself off this kind of drug.

 

I know because my mom has taken it many times in the past. You can't just stop taking it cold turkey. There are side effects even in short term use, like joint pain and fake water weight, along with other annoying symptoms, but it would be far worse it she were to just stop taking the drug without slowly lowering the dose over time. Celine is probably just starting to feel like herself again, as it can sometimes take weeks or even months to fully rid yourself of this drug depending on how long you're on it for. In Celine's case, her doctors might have wanted her on it for the longer period because she wasn't able to have proper vocal rest due to her being on tour.

 

Now hopefully Celine will start her 2nd half strong and healthy again. I imagine she is secretly prepping for some changes in between her Christmas break and spending quality time with her kids. I bet she's working with her ballet teacher full force again, since we did see Naomi when Celine went to see that ballet show recently. Fingers crossed for something big to come! :-D

If she was on Prednisone I really doubt she was on it for that long. I have asthma and am prescribed Prednisone every time I have issues (like seriously can't breathe issues) and it's never been for more than 3 weeks, and pretty sure no doctor will ever prescribe it without directing the patient to lower the dosage little by little. Might start with 2 or 3 pills once or twice a day for a few days and then slowly reducing it every few days until you don't have to take it anymore. If she was on this medicine then my guess is she was on it only the 2 weeks she canceled shows.

 

I doubt whatever was wrong with her at that time was serious enough to require a longer dosage.

 

I'm sure she's kept up with her training routine otherwise Naomi wouldn't have been on tour after she came back. I saw her at the Albany show, she and Pepe came out and stood next to the platform I was seated next to. Whatever changes, if any, we get I am keeping expectations as low as possible.

I really don't think she's been doing more than just spending time with her family. Whatever is planned for the beginning of 2020 I think has been in the works since before December.

My personal favorite hair shes had was her 2015 comeback hair, just longer than shoulder length, textured and voluminous as hell, like... ridiculously big

Yeah yeah but that's an audio. There used to be a better video. A live one probably from a TV show, with millions of views. It was not on Céline's official channel so it was probably blocked. But what's the use of blocking if it is not to be uploaded on an official channel. I know that Céline's team do not have the rights to the TV shows Céline goes to but that can always be fixed. Come on, the world needs it.

 

Yes, this whole thing about “rights” is so silly...after something has been on television, just let the world see it in an unobstructed way!

 

Celine’s team and her luck with these videos has lost her millions and millions of views...makes me sad that she can’t be recognized for being so streamed. Even her biggest Christmas hit Happy Xmas has amateur videos scattered all over YouTube...

"The whole thing about rights" is why we have a music industry in the first place. It's an industry predicated entirely on the existence and enforceability of copyright. Without it, we'd have no Celine, no Beatles, no musical artist of any kind unless they were either a) independently wealthy and able to fund their art at a loss, or b ) had a patron / benefactor a la Mozart et al.

You mean CelineDionVevo? That's so stupid. There should be only one channel on YouTube. And old stuff should be on that channel.

Yes but there's a balance between no rights and stupid rights. Here the rights are not enforced at all since her songs are uploaded on other channels and the ones being honest are the ones who actually actually are Céline's team. Without the existence of copyrights, there would be Céline and the Beatles believe me. They would be as famous but only a little less wealthy.

No, because a commercial music industry would not exist. Simple.

The only reason it does is because of the enforceability copyright laws and the ability to monetize the underlying rights and thus fund production and marketing.

There’s no requirement to put all middle names in a passport.

Im making the prediction now that celine will perform at this years grammys. Nothing has been said yet but since she has 9 days off from january 22nd-29th im assuming she took that break so she could be with her kids and go to the award show since she max will only be away 10 days from her kids im sure she has planned this so it works both ways so she attend the grammys. All her breaks in between shows on this tour she flys home and this is a longer break so im sure she will surpise us and perform on the grammys

I also miss céline attending to oscars and perform. I really love movie stars watching céline perform onstage. It makes me excited and proud :)
