There is an alternative version of the ABM music video in this small theater as far as I remember (wasn't it the Christmas version?)

 

No that was the normal video clip mixed with a couple in a christmas setting (decorated cottage, snow etc.)

 

Here it is:

 

 

No piano in sight ;)

This is quite fascinating... could this be part of the reason music critics hated Céline back in the day, because they heard the behind the scenes stories from people in the industry? I certainly wonder...

 

Doubtful. This sounds like a pretty standard co-publishing agreement (see my post here), and makes perfect sense given that at the height of her commercial prowess, Celine was certainly providing commercial outlets for these songs (which is the main role of a publisher), so why shouldn’t she have co-publishing shares?

 

What this illustrates, though, is the propensity of critics at the time to jump her for any odd reason. Why is it titled "Let's talk about greed?" There's nothing here that's particularly surprising or greedy, so why does Celine get singled out?

 

Co-publishing agreements are the most standard form of publishing agreement in the industry. And pretty much anyone can be a publisher (including the actual songwriter, thought more commonly it is, of course, a publishing company, like Chappell, EMI, Downtown, Primary Wave, Peer Music, etc., or a whole host of small, family-owned or artist-owned publishing companies, like, apparently Duffield Music).

Well back in the days, Celine got singled out for this. I remember hearing about it on the radio in Toronto and it made her and Rene look quite bad.

I'm pretty sure it contributed to the Celine backlash... And since she was the biggest act at the time, the press was happy to have anything negative about Celine on their hands.

Well you know, now after more than 20 years they actually could release this video!

 

Just like Mariah did with AIWFCIY, which would give this old classic song (which is one of her signature songs too) an additional boost! If others can do that, so can Celine!!!! She could promote her old catalog in this way. She has many unreleased music videos that could be revealed now to promote her old songs (in addition to singing mainly oldies during her concerts).

 

We actually should request that from her team! We are the fans and they will listen to us, or at least take it into consideration. Let’s write our requests for that all over her social media!

What’s the real story behind that CD? Was it recorded in Zurich, London or Milan? Or are they all separate audios?

I sometimes see an Evenko commercial on my TV showing a small clips of shows from other artists, along with a small clip of Celine's show. I would love it if someone could post it to the forum for me if possible? :)

Wow, great find. Seems like it's a Spanish version of If You Asked Me To. Never knew about this. :o
