Well the running time of LAP is already 73:15, so there would have been space for 1 song more... I don't mind not having CY and LBDBM on LAP, because they were already on A L'Olympia. So I would have put Misled on the CD. But IMO the live album is perfect as it is!
It is a shame tho that WDMHBN got cut from the video/DVD.

They could have made a double CD and included all the songs.

Even though they were on Olympia, it's still a different live performance.

Is here anywhere to watch the cut songs?

I've just come to the realization that, sadly, following Celines career is by far not as exciting as it once used to be. It's just not the same anymore. Apart from the very little promo and appearences, the fans get absolutely nothing in terms of behind the scenes documentaries, making offs or recording sessions, which is the highlight for every fan. It's just sad. When aldo was in charge, the fans we did not miss out on that stuff at all!

Yes, I agree. But I don't think she will. She got too comfortable. She is in charge now and she does everything the way she wants to.

This is totally random but I was going to cook one of my giant 6 course dinners for Valentine’s Day but my Mom died on Monday (don’t cry for me, Argentina - she was a cold-hearted *CENSORED*. I envy people who actually had decent parents.) so this week turned into a very busy one. So I said to my husband, “Look, I just want to go to Radio City Music Hall and listen to Josh Groban sing love songs for 2 hours. I’ll go to any steakhouse you want in return.” (I’m vegetarian but can do pescatarian when I need to.)

After checking into the show. It’s labeled a “residency.” He’s doing 4 shows and they’re all going to be different and all have special guests. So since Celine has this week off of her tour, and Josh did her a favor by opening for her in London, I suddenly wondered if perhaps she might show up tonight for The Prayer? I’d just pee myself if she did. But I think I read somewhere on the forum that she was spotted in Montreal last night so I’m not counting on it. (Although Montreal is only a 90 min flight away from NYC.)

The press release also said that the shows would be very “NYC centric” so I’m assuming the special guests stars will be more Broadway type than pop stars. Either way, I’ll let you all know if she happens to be there tonight.

It’s been a while since Celine showed up at a major televised event and showed everyone who’s boss. The Aretha tribute was the last I can recall, and sadly that wasn’t widely viewed and isn’t really (legitimately) available online. Now that award show season is largely over, I wonder when the general public will really get to hear her next.

I loved today's Youppi throwback post!

I know we know this intellectually because we can all do basic math, but it's always sobering to think about just how long she's been in the singing business.

And yes, I say "singing business" because that's what she herself calls it. That, and "show business". Always has been. So to all those "she has sold out and is all about the money" posts - where have you all been? This is her job. One she happens to love, and had great success with, but a job nonetheless. And she's been conditioned to think of it that way from a very early age. Let's not forget she was still a teenager when she was supporting a massive family, and has done so for decades. A family that has obviously ballooned with the generations and I'm sure there's no shortage of expectations from siblings, nieces, nephews, etc.

Seems Elisabeth Reynaud and Matthieu Delormeau are out there spreading tabloid fodder again (the latter, especially, seems to do so on a weekly basis lately). Why do these two have a bone to pick with Celine? Or, is it not personal, just pure business that drives ratings and clicks?

I think it’s about the rumor that Céline is going to adopt a girl. They have no proof of this other than she has said it in passing in interviews a few years back. Their other “evidence” is that everyone is dying and so she only has her kids now so why wouldn’t she add to the number.

I mean, she might but this is just stupid speculation at this point.
