For those who don't know, Rolling Stone magazine recently started doing their own music charts in competition with Billboard, but they leave out "passive listening" like radio, and only focus on downloads and streams. For the first time, that I'm aware of, Celine made it on one of their charts. She's #461 on their top 500 artists of the week, and she's rising! 2.9 million streams overall for the week in the US! Don't know why it says she's been on the chart for 245 weeks though when they just launched the charts in the summer.

This afternoon, I was listening to the "Miracle" album and I can't believe how underrated this album is 😱

The songs "Miracle", "Sleep Tight", "My Precious One", "Beautiful Boy" and "In Some Small Way" are all gems 😍

I watched A New Day again (Disc 2 All Access and The Secrets) last night and I’m still amazed with the efforts back then.. the production... making scores for the dvd... everything.

 

And i just realize that Céline can’t do what Rene does.. watching the a new day the secrets.. Rene did an amazing job to convince their partners to come up with an extra millions of dollars to have an amazing show. Buying a big LED screen OMG. So, i beleive that we will not see a big prod like a new day anymore... (imagine even on dvd they give efforts from doing a score just for the dvd) i think only like courage world tour a more simple setup compared before when rene was still alive.

 

Let’s see if we will see an a new day part 2 in the future...

I was thinking about Celine's recent passion for ballet and remembered that Celine actually received a Woman Of The Year Award from the Nevada Ballet Theater back in 2004. Doesn't that just come full circle now, since Celine is totally into ballet today. LOL. Funny how life works sometimes.

For decades, reporters have been trying to dig up her secrets, but it's not necessary: she does it all alone. And this, obviously for the purpose of "delivering the goods", and the best of itself. With her status, she is not obliged to give interviews to a local press that pulls the devil by the tail. She could do like Arcade Fire and only grant interviews to the most prestigious international publications.

 

I've seen much more modest stars seem frazzled, and look stupid, after only 3 interviews. Céline probably did a zillion on that day, and she didn't even seem phased.

A diva ? Hardly. Divas don't act like that. A méga-pro, yes. A pure-blood thoroughbred of Showbiz, who never cracks no matter the amount of pressure on the line.. And, at 51, perfectly aware of her career and the fact that she has nothing to prove.
