I have a question .Since we all know that Celine is right-handed,can anyone tell me ,why does she always hold the mic in her left during the performances? :hmm:

 

I think I remember reading in "My Story, My Dream" that when she first started performing, she would constantly switch the mic to either hand, back and forth while she was singing and it was distracting to the audience. Which it honestly is for any performer. So she had to learn to hold it with one hand. Now depending if you're left or right handed, the hand you use least is usually the hand that stays stationary. Hence why she holds the mic with her left hand most of the time.

 

Right handed baseball players wear their glove on their left hand because their right arm is their throwing arm and is stronger. Right handed people usually wear their watches on their left as to not damage it because they use their right hand for everything else and vice versa.

"Have You Ever Been In Love" videoclip :) . Despite being one of her most cheesy songs, and even though the video is 80% digitally made, I find it totally delicious, with an exquisite concept despite its simplicity :wub: :wub: :wub: ❤️❤️❤️

Ok. It just hit me that in November we will be celebrating 25 YEARS since DCP was released!

 

Man, with all that is happening with her French career right now, I hope they re-release it w/ goodies or she perform some of the songs on tour. Like LBDB, DMQS, and Oxygene along with Amour Existe Encore & Ziggy.

i really love her Oxygène version , we feel the words more.

Is Celine really on the June 2016 cover of Elle Canada Magazine?

 

On instagram it shows a pic from the new Alix Malka photoshoot, with Celine on the cover of Elle Canada Magazine. It mentions about her new lifestyle brand. Does anyone know if that is a fan made cover or the real thing? It's on instagram under #CelineDion if anyone's interested in investigating this further.

Sitting here watching the Tonys, and wishing Celine would do Broadway. She could be so great at it!

Granted, I know she has said she's got no interest (and can you imagine her doing 7-8 shows/ week for Equity scale?!) But, if she ever did end up doing film, a screen adaptation of a musical would be a great entry point.

 

Also, this is hands down the best award show out there. Seriously, Oscars need not apply.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's speech was brilliant. Josh Groban in his highschool production of Fiddler was a hoot! Oprah, Streisand, the Obamas... what's not to love?!

And James - "Think of it like the Oscars, but with diversity" - Corden did great as host.

 

Anyhoo, in honour of Tony night, here's some Cabaret ;)

It was one of the best Tony Award shows EVER! Also, Celine would not be making Equity scale. Scarlet Johannson and Al Pacino have both made $500,000 a week for their turns on Broadway. I'm sure Celine would command something similar. Although, she can't really act, as her television appearances have shown, so I don't expect to see her on a Bway stage any time soon.
