You know you've watching A New Day behind the scenes once to many when you're at a show watching an acrobatics act and Who let the dogs out starts playing yet all you can think of is... Who let Celine out...

As long as you didn't start walking and squawking like a chicken, I think you're good!

Interesting. Is the narration done by Ben Mulroney? It kind of sounds like him (not exactly) -- but I think it's very likely a Canadian, based on how he used the French pronunciation of "Celine" (English Canada seems to be the only English-speaking part of the world that does that). He's interviewed Celine a few times - here's one:

if you believe wikipedia, the headquarters of Watchmojo is in Montreal,and at least one of the founder have a very québécois name, that could explain the pronunciation. they know the Celine... And i don't think it is Ben Mulroney who does the narration, but probably some french guy who speaks a very good english, like Ben Mulroney. No english dude would say Celine like this.

I don't live in Canada, and I like/prefer to say her name the Quebecoise way. It's just so much prettier. Not that it's not lovely as an American name, but it's just so much better in French. Especially when, like what we're getting now, crowds chant it in between songs or before she goes on. I personally would always say it that way if I could, but I have had people say to me, who/what/huh? when I do it so now am selective!!

Incidentally, Ben is leaving eTalk and will be hosting the new CTV morning show, which is replacing Canada AM after 43 seasons. With him at the helm, I imagine we'll continue to get good Celine coverage on CTV.

Celine will be at En direct de l'univers, for the premiere this autumn, 17 th of september...

 

it is a program where the artist answers questions about her past , and gives information about wich songs have inflenced her. Numbers of artist sing those songs, could be stars or people neer the artist that she loves. Great news , very good program.

but lately I fell in love with Encore un soir, so I felt like I had to take a closer look to her career,her songs etc..I had to know who Celine Dion really is ! :-D

 

I have no idea if I'm at the right place to ask for your help, die-hard fans, but I was wondering which song, album or DVD,documentary should I buy or watch (oh,YouTube ! ^^) ? Is there any magnificent songs that non die-hard fans don't know about because it was not promoted by Sony...

 

I took a look to other topics on this forum,it seems like Miracle and One Heart are not her best work.Other than that,I don't really know ! ^^

First of all Welcome!!

 

You need to watch Through the Eyes of the world...... It's available on Blu-Ray and DVD. You could start also by going through her Vevo Channel. I'm sure you will fall in love with her with little research....

 

Listen to the Album A New Day Has Come.... Always been a favioute of mine :D and great for the summer

Your question is harder than you think because there is soooooo much out there. I started with Unison so I don't know if you want to go that far back. Do you speak French?

It's not a requirement but I think it's really who she is. I'm not fluent by any means but I can get by a little. :giggle:

I would also recommend watching the A&E biography. It's all on YouTube. It covers her life until the early 2000's. Her rise to fame etc. 😀

Robin Leach is at a new paper now with a larger role (new media, more columns). In this interview he discusses Celine as his favorite Vegas performer and briefly mentions his relationship with her (mostly that it was Celine that asked him to host Rene's celebration of life). It is nice that he still gives her credit for Vegas as it is now and his consistent support. I know some people go back and forth with him but I thought I would still post it given his comments about Celine and her show.

Welcome to the forum !! You should def read her book "my story , my dream " also !!!!

Celine has had tonnes of amazing songs not promoted by Sony, I especially recommend you check out her song called " Just walk away" . And then i guess if i were you, i would just you tube the hell outa her !!!! Loads of stuff on there !!! Enjoy ! Im sure you will love her and become a die hard fan like us !!! :giggle: :flowers:

After the tour she removed her extensions... :giggle:

I never watched the whole Celine through the eyes of the world documentary-movie.(My mom saw it but at the time it came out I guess I was not ready for Celine Dion's greatness yet :giggle: ) But I watched some parts on youtube,I guess I should buy the dvd! ^^

And you are right,so far I've listened to 6 songs (A new day has come album) and it is very summery ! I like it! (So far A new day has come is my favorite ) :-D

It's quite possible. Maybe she's doing an English song on the today show? I highly highly doubt it but with all that aldo's been doing lately it wouldn't surprise me. They may be preparing for a late spring release!
