Angel2006 Posted June 23, 2016 at 12:24 AM Posted June 23, 2016 at 12:24 AM (edited) I just caught a bit of the end of a conversation on ET Canada, they were talking about RC and they brought up a past comment Celine made about loving and exepting him if he were gay. I don't know the whole story because I just heard the very end of the conversation. I don't know if ET Canada was announcing that RC is gay, or if they just were using Celine's exceptance of people's sexual orientation as an example in reference to the world's tolerance of sexuality and global exeptance? I don't know if anyone else saw this on ET Canada today? I'm gonna watch it from the beginning at 9:00pm just to see what they were talking about and why they referenced Celine and RC in the story. Maybe it was this Gay Icons Week: Celine DionCeline Dion is not only one of the best-selling artists of all time, she’s also a strong supporter of the LGBTQ community. I want my son to be able to talk to me. I’m with him, I wanted that son. If he’s a gay person, he’s not any less of my son, or any less happy for that. Oh thanks. Yep, that's what it was about. ET Canada was still doing there gay icon episode today. It's nice that they recognized Celine's acceptance of sexual orientation and loving people know matter who they choose to love. If anyone understands that the heart wants what it wants and you can't control who you love, it's Celine. Loving a man who was 26 years older then her, I think that really made her realize that you can't choose who you love and you have to follow your heart more then your brain. Celine can connect with people who love differently because, even though Celine is not gay she does understand and relate with the struggles of hiding a relationship over fear of what people might think. For 5 or 6 years Celine couldn't even walk hand in hand with her boyfriend on the street for fear of what people might have thought, so I think that is why she can really relate and connect with the LGBTQ community. 2

Condor Posted June 24, 2016 at 07:31 PM Posted June 24, 2016 at 07:31 PM Here's an article published in a Montreal paper on June 23.it's title is "QUI EXPLOITE QUI" which means "WHO'S EXPLOITING WHO? and is about Céline's public behavior since René's passing.I've attached the article in French for those who understand it.If not, here's the translation: WHO'S EXPLOITING WHO? It is fashionable in some circles to despise the emotions and outpourings of stars, sometimes we judge canvasser, sometimes downright exhibitionist. Thus, a journalist of L'Observateur accused Dion of "exploiting her widowhood" during a 15-minute interview given to BFM TV channel. In his article "Celine Dion BFMTV: ad nauseum," the journalist seems to establish a link between the time spent by our national Céline to discuss mourning and selling event tickets to conclude: "The active soliciting is not punishable by law? Could we not imagine some limitations on promotion? " It is fascinating to see how easy it is to reverse roles for passing from exploited to exploiter and vice versa. The best way to detect the thing may be to understand who has the most to gain from the exercise. The concert series that Celine Dion will give Paris until July 7 is sold out. If there is one thing the singer does not need to sell her shows, it is the attention of a chain that holds an average of 2% market share in France. It's a favor that the singer makes to the chain,as recognized by the host of the show. This is also the interviewer who asks Céline questions on more personal matters. She does not ask her about the song list but how she grieves. If there is a matter for controversy,it's BFMTV that uses Celine's widowhood than the reverse. Moreover, isn't the journalist from L'Observateur also exploiting the Charlemagne jewel by generating clicks to her article "anti-people" on the back of a mourning star? We all agree that the privacy of our idols is not within the public interest. The fact remains that there is an audience for it, and if there is an audience for it, there will be media for profit, usually at the expense of these stars. Witness the latest trend to unveil details of property transactions by stars like Marie-Mai, Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse or Louis-José Houde,(NOTE: 3 stars in Quebec) As for Celine, she certainly lost hope for ages that we remain indifferent to her small joys and great misery or about her real estate. The only thing we can blame her about this interview with BFM TV is perhaps her evasive answer to the question of international terrorism. But that's OK… 3

It's a sad day when xenophobia triumphs. Some of my happiest years were spent living & working in London, thanks to my EU passport. Now such cultural exchange will no longer be an option for so many young people, who overwhelmingly voted to stay. Pity.

There is a lot of anger around and people who desperately don't want to leave. The results were very close. Some people are already saying that they regret voting leave. Cafe67 Posted June 27, 2016 at 07:40 PM Posted June 27, 2016 at 07:40 PM OK, since this is the random questions thread, here's a very random question: I've had the hiccups ALL day, and that got me to wondering - has there ever been a performance that anyone can remember where Celine had the hiccups? I'm forever sneezing or coughing right when I get in the middle of talking. I just wonder how a performer like Celine handles that.

You need to slowly breathe in through your nose, then hold it for a couple of seconds, then slowly breathe out through your mouth. It's the only way for me. Never heard celine talk about hiccups though 😊

winforlife Posted June 30, 2016 at 04:01 AM Posted June 30, 2016 at 04:01 AM This evening around 6PM on the radio I heard "The Show Must Go On" featuring Lindsey Before the song played, the commentator explained that it was Céline Dion's rendition of Queen's song. I turned up the radio louder than normal with the car windows open Not earth shattering news, but I was so excited to hear something other than TTWITS. "Encore Un Soir" will probably never get any recognition in the US so this the best for now. Keeping my fingers crossed that her English album has some upbeat songs that will be heard. And a side note. RC must be excited that Las Vegas will have its own pro hockey team soon. 2 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v119/LKlafter1/1367035680_small.jpg

I was DYING. "I wanted to ask them what they expected an extremely rich, attractive 48-year-old woman to look like. A broiled steak? The inside of Keith Richard’s a******?" "As she trilled out the final “Why—Can’t—I?” eight to 10 people in my section let out the farts they’d been holding in through the performance. We filed out of the Colosseum encased in a hot cloud of farts. That’s also the way it is." :sofunny: 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay
