Does anyone here think Celine should do a sit-down interview with Oprah this year to officially talk about life following the death of René?

 

I know she's been officially 'back' with the shows and has paid tribute to him in the opening, but I wonder whether she will properly discuss the issue in an interview, not just about René but her brother as well who has not been mentioned at all since her comeback in Vegas. I feel that Oprah would be the perfect choice as she knew René very well and they have a great connection on TV. I'm sure when she releases new music René is going to be mentioned a lot in promotional interviews, maybe a controlled Oprah environment will help Celine answer a lot of questions before the media catch her off-guard?

Yes I agree! It's interesting she hasn't done any major interview yet. I suppose the wound is still too fresh. But if she's ready, I think Oprah would be the best choice!

I agree if and when she is ready Oprah is a good choice. I miss the Celine/Oprah interviews.

Hi I will be going to see Celine in Las Vegas on 3rd June, is anyone else here going? I am going by myself to las vegas for 5 days from 3rd June 2016 if anyone wanted to pair up if you're doing the same date or around that date as I'm really nervous and would be nice to have someone to maybe go around the sites and go out at night time to some bars as it's safer.

Regarding French: when she has a very nasal tone (e.g. first recording of CNQR), to me it looks like a slight slight canadian accent.

 

Regarding English: I don't know why, but when I hear the studio recording of TT, TPOTD or IDAN for example, it sounds a bit like British. Whereas TJTWIM or TTWII for example, they sound more American.

 

Just my opinion.

maybe at the beginning, but even then she was soubing more like Mireille Mathieu, could not be more french than that. :giggle: But as she evolves , i think her sound is more like international french, i don't hear a canadian accent myself....

Never wish to see Celine in lists where Miley Cirus is included, ok? :)

 

That said vocal range by pop music standards doesn't mean much. Even notes who aren't really sung are included, like breathy low notes or strained high notes.
