celine4evauk Posted March 14, 2016 at 03:21 PM Posted March 14, 2016 at 03:21 PM I reckon a little time in studio, filming a music video, family time, then maybe sorting setlist/rehearsal etc for tour. Don't tthink she has that long between lv and the tour does she? 1

CelineDionFreak Posted March 14, 2016 at 09:48 PM Posted March 14, 2016 at 09:48 PM (edited) So, now that's she's got two months off, what do we suppose she's up to? I guess this was the time originally earmarked for promo of the French album, but now that that's not happening until the fall, is she doing more recording? Maybe even getting the English record started?Surely some rehearsals for the upcoming French mini-tour are on the agenda, but beyond that do we know of anything else on the schedule? I just hope she takes some time for herself and the boys. The last two months must have been such an emotional whirlwind.I sure hope she gets some rest. She'll be rehearsing, for sure, but at least she won't go in to do the show a few times a week, so that'll give her some relief, I'm sure. If she does go into Paris for Encore Un Soir, I think it would be neat if she showed the boys around again, now that they're older. We'll just have to see! But I could also see recording for the French album (if more is needed), as well as a Music video shoot (PLEASE bring Xavier Dolan!!!) and probably a photo shoot. The latter may be wishful thinking on my end but the Alix Malka ones are getting old!! Ultimately, I just hope she takes the time she needs and hope she can surround herself with people who help her Edited March 14, 2016 at 09:50 PM by CelineDionFreak 3 I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!

scielle Posted March 15, 2016 at 03:27 AM Posted March 15, 2016 at 03:27 AM I also hope she'll have a photoshoot for the French tourbook! If it will consist of the SA pictures AGAIN, I will SCREAM! You mean drawings? I loved those! I wouldn't mind one bit if the artwork for the new album consisted of drawings again (though not at the expense of a new photo shoot - we need something new at this point, she's been using the same old pics for far too long.) I just think drawings / paintings / art as album covers are way more interesting than photo-shopped portraits. Granted, the good thing about photos is they're a snapshot in time and tend to bring back memories much like family photo albums, and are a great way to document an artist's evolution. But on the flip side, there's always a risk of a really bad snapshot in time (Hello? 80s? Some of those album covers are unintentionally hilarious now - and I don't mean Celine's!) All in all, Celine's had some pretty great album covers! Falling Into You, S'il suffisait d'aimer, Sans attendre, D'eux, D'elles, Loved Me Back to Life, TCOML, TAST, All the Way... I think those are all pretty great! Taking Chances though... that one was downright scary. 1
scielle Posted March 15, 2016 at 03:35 AM Posted March 15, 2016 at 03:35 AM If she does go into Paris for Encore Un Soir, I think it would be neat if she showed the boys around again, now that they're older. We'll just have to see! Do you think that's likely? Would she really cross the ocean for single promos? Album promo, sure. But has she been known to do that for singles, really, especially if it's so far in advance of actual album release? And do we know for sure that Encore Un Soir will be the first single? I don't remember anymore whether that's been confirmed or whether it's just our conjecture. But I could also see recording for the French album (if more is needed), as well as a Music video shoot (PLEASE bring Xavier Dolan!!!) Second that! Ultimately, I just hope she takes the time she needs and hope she can surround herself with people who help her Amen. Do you think she ever goes to RC's hockey games? Or would she be more likely to avoid them for fear of drawing too much attention? I wonder. I'm sure she'd love to be there from time to time to cheer him on, but it must be difficult for her to just how up to a community ice rink and not cause a commotion! 1

No I meant the photoshoot by Alix Malka. That was initially for SA. Some pix where used during promotion, but then the pictures were used for LMBT, the tourbook for the French Mini tour in 2013, then the second tourbook from Vegas and THEN the third Vegas tourbook! I am really fed up now with these pictures, especially since they never used new candid pix from that shoot, but the same ones over and over again! I wouldn't mind a more personal snapshot tourbook this time, but again, then I hope they use rare/new old photo's instead of photo's we already know. 3 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

And yes encore un soir has been confirmed I think she probably doesn't if she walked in after the game started and im sunglasses and quietly sat down she could probably be herself for once, a mother. Even if she does get commotion, I'm sure they'd let her see her son play hockey, I think other mothers would get that? I don't know. Peppercorn1991 Posted March 15, 2016 at 06:58 PM Posted March 15, 2016 at 06:58 PM I hope for new photos too!! Please please please record an amazing music video... I do want her to rest and enjoy her family... But at the same time I know how much she wants to continue to succeed. These months off could ultimately bring so much to the album if she works a couple of days on the project. She is now in a new chapter In her life... It would be great to have new visuals to support this artistically. The old ones will bring back memories ... I think she needs a fresh.... Even if they are to be used in the English album too... Davey84 Posted March 17, 2016 at 01:29 PM Posted March 17, 2016 at 01:29 PM Well then, explain it to me. Please. Because I'm really hoping someone could articulate why covers are such an issue. Not aiming to be contrarian, just genuinely trying to understand the aversion. For me it means this: I don't mind when Celine covers a song and makes it her own. Songs like IACBTMN, ABM, TPOL etc are really different from the original, she really added something to it.But there are also covers that are nearly a carbon copy of the original, like When I Need You, At Last, Tu Nages. That adds nothing to her repertoire IMO and makes her more a karaoke singer than a real singer. Then when it comes to live shows there are so many unnecessary covers like Purple Rain, Man In The Mirror, Rolling In The Deep, Lullaby. I find them unnecessary because Celine has recorded so many great original songs that could or should be sung in that spot. I am a fan of Celine and her songs, but to me it comes across as if Celine doesn't like the songs she recorded for her albums or that she doesn't believe in those songs. And that makes me sad. When I go to see Celine in concert, I want to hear HER songs that I love, not a Prince song or a Garth Brooks song or even an Adele song, if I want to hear those songs, I'll go to their concerts. 3 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

The introduction is completely different, the climax too. Celine added several high notes and she went for head voice towards the end. The phrasing is also different at points. TPOL and especially IACBTMN are much closer to the originals. Celine owned these songs because they became smash hits, not because she showed much originality when singing them. I don't know what you hear different in IACBTMN, maybe it is the fact that you find her voice more passionate and expressive! 1
LukeD Posted March 17, 2016 at 03:52 PM Posted March 17, 2016 at 03:52 PM Well then, explain it to me. Please. Because I'm really hoping someone could articulate why covers are such an issue. Not aiming to be contrarian, just genuinely trying to understand the aversion.Covers are an issue when Celine adds nothing to them. And most of her covers are just Celine adding her beautiful voice to the original. I also prefer to know that songwriters created a song especially for Celine. Makes the whole process come off as more special. I mostly mind about the covers she chooses to incorporate to her live shows though. Because they just seem random and all over the place. Anyway... What Whintey did with I Will Always Love You is the best example of how a cover should be done in order to show originality and true artistic ambition. 2
