Hi friends. I have a question: does anybody remember the title of the book in which Céline wrote a sort of introduction? I think it is a French book. :flowers:

 

Some of the books in which Céline wrote the foreword:

 

"Souffle de Vie", published in September 2005:

ISBN: 9782980758324 (2980758329)

It's a collection of poems, songs and texts written by 77 different authors and gathered by Danny Boisvert. The book was released to raise funds for cystic fibrosis. His son, Gabriel, suffered from that disease.

 

"Chanter de tout son corps", published in Quebec in March 2006:

ISBN: 9782921416597 (292141659X)

The book aimed at young people who want to start a singing career and was written by Johanne Raby and Francoise Chagnon. It also contains advices from other Quebec artists such as Marie-Michèle Desrosiers, Laurence Jalbert and Bruno Pelletier.

 

"Sixtyfive Roses: A Sister's Memoir", Published by Mcarthur & Company in 2007

ISBN 10: 1552786781, ISBN 13: 9781552786789

Synopsis: A loving, funny and profoundly moving literary memoir. The redemptive story of two sisters growing up in the shadow of a fatal illness, and a family fighting for a child's life.

I am pleased that Heather Cariou is donating a portion of the proceeds from this book to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This is a moving account of her family’s refusal to give up when faced with the devastating news that her sister had cystic fibrosis (CF).

Known today as the most common, fatal genetic disease affecting young persons throughout North America, CF attacks both breathing and digestion. And although research, funded by donations, has made it possible for children and adults with CF to live longer and healthier lives, a cure, so far, has eluded us.

Cystic fibrosis has touched Heather Cariou, and it has touched my family, in a very personal way. Heather’s cherished sister Pamela died of complications related to CF at the age of 26, and my beloved niece, Karine, lost her battle with CF at the age of 16. Like Heather, I remain committed to doing all I can to help defeat this devastating disease, which is still stealing the future from so many young people.

On behalf of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the families who battle CF bravely every day, I would like to thank Heather Cariou for supporting the cause we share, through this inspirational book. With her generous encouragement, and the contributions of many others, I remain confident that together, we will beat cystic fibrosis, once and for all.

Does anyone have the full set lists for A New Day... throughout it's entire run? Wikipedia only has the set lists based on the CD and DVD which is not very helpful as there were a number of other changes made. I've tried looking through old topics/bootlegs, but it's still not very clear when changes were made. Thanks!

I am full of them. And full of Celine following trends and doing bland uptempo songs. I need ballads like in the 90s! And just about 4 uptempo songs to balance the ballad album. Edited by LukeD

If my memory serves me correctly, she tried to have a natural birth with RC, but after 14 or 15 hours, he was tired, and there was a problem with the umbilical cord, and they did an emergency c section. Then she had an elective c section with the twins, which is common. From what I know, once you've delivered on child by c section, any after that, will be delivered the same way.

Yeah the cord was wrapped around RCs neck. Then once you've had a c - section all future births are like this.

The room where she's born is classified strickly confidential by the Canadian prime minister Pierre Trudeau in July 1981 when it became apparent Céline would concur the world. But I do how ever found the exact location where Céline was conceived! It's under a big maple tree in a little forest at the north west part of Charlemagne. They entered the forest at Rue de la Presqu'île and walked about 15 minutes into the woods. I know it's a bit shabby to do it in the woods, but what do you want?! They had 13 children already! Like they could do anything at home! :rolleyes: So don't be judgemental! :glare: If you want the precise location, it's 45°44'11.9"N 73°30'20.3"W!

The room where she's born is classified strickly confidential by the Canadian prime minister Pierre Trudeau in July 1981 when it became apparent Céline would concur the world. But I do how ever found the exact location where Céline was conceived! It's under a big maple tree in a little forest at the north west part of Charlemagne. They entered the forest at Rue de la Presqu'île and walked about 15 minutes into the woods. I know it's a bit shabby to do it in the woods, but what do you want?! They had 13 children already! Like they could do anything at home! :rolleyes: So don't be judgemental! :glare: If you want the precise location, it's 45°44'11.9"N 73°30'20.3"W!

Hahaha!!!

Now I know why they had that tree erect itself out of nowhere on the stage of the Colloseum for A New Day.

Very symbolic.

 

There's a tree, standing there

In such an ordinary way

But as I, Look around

Everything keeps changing

 

It also explains why Celine was so happy to sleep in a wooden drawer for her early years. I wonder if they made it out of the same tree?
