Yeah i remember that cleaning comment, but everytime I'm scrubbing the bathroom floor on hands and knees, I'm thinking.... I bet Celine has never done this! :ranting: :glare: :giggle:

 Probably not. Celine would probably use a swiffer mop to protect those knees. :-D

I bet she did that! Don't forget her humble beginnings! So I can imagine she did that during her hiatus. Maybe at that time by using a mop! ;-)

EDIT: Maybe you should also use a mop. I'm sure your knees will be forever thankful! ;-)

ok so random questions here: Is Celine ever alone in the house with her kids (and until recently Rene) or is there always some staff member, assistant, chef, maid, family member etc there with her? I am so fascinated, I was just watching her on Oprah (from years ago) and they showed her at home with her butler, chef and "manager of the house" I suppose she must be used to always having people like that around but I was wondering if there are ever times where Celine would get up and cook dinner for her kids, just her. Now I know with the show in Vegas that she is not going to have time to do all those things but I just wonder - does she always have a chef or would he or she come in at certain times? Please forgive me if this is a dumb question. I just wonder about Celine's day to day life sometimes.

As far as I know: Her sister Linda and their husband is living with her. Mainly because of watching over the kids when Céline can't be around. And there's security. Although I don't know if they sleep/live in a outbilding.

With so many brothers and sisters, I think Celine has youngest never experienced THAT part of humbleness :P

I do find that a mop can't reach the same level as cleanness like when you go down and dirty yourself :P :lmao:

How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

Do you think that RC appreciate Moms music more these past couple of weeks,
Posted
I think RC appreciates his mom more now overall. Seeing her love that she had and still has for his father and witnessing her strength through the loss of the love of her life. If they weren't already appreciative and close with each other before, they are so much closer now. RC's affection and dedication to his mom is so evident throughout all of this. He is her rock.

UPDATE: I found Belong for a decent price through fragrancex.com. It was back ordered but they shipped it within about 4 days of my order and I just received it today! So excited to have a new bottle after about 8 years! :)

I've been on this forum for five years now. In the beginning of my time here, every negative comment used to send me spiraling down where I couldn't listen to her and I took everything so seriously. Now I don't come here as often, and when I do, I can more easily let people have their own opinion without trying to change them or let it affect me. Nothing/no one is going to change my love for her just because they don't like something. There doesn't necessarily have to always be a black-and-white right or wrong, it just all IS.

I use to be the same way. Whenever someone said anything bad about her I use to freak out and come at them. Now I let most things just roll off my back. I think everyone develops a thick skin towards the negative comments after awhile or else they would go crazy.

When people say things about Celine, whether it be good or bad, it's almost like they are saying those things to me. At least that is how I use to feel. It use to really effect me. People's comments don't bother me anywhere near as much as they use to anymore.

I think it also comes with maturing and growing up. I have matured over the years on this forum. Things that use to bother me in the past don't bother me anymore. I have learned that everyone has there own opinions, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with them. Others opinions doesn't have to change the way I feel.

That was so well said. I especially related to the part about feeling like they were saying it at me/coming at me. I had to answer back, had to defend her. But she has learned to let it go, so so should I. It's ten thousand times harder for her, she's a big girl. she does not need defending, well, most of the time. lol and if she does, the far worse critics are not going to be found here, even though we do have some top complainers. Everyone does deserve/have the right to their own opinion, just like I want to have mine.

Haha. I'm not one to watch the Superbowl, but there's all sorts of Twitter traffic about Gaga appropriating Celine's chest-pound moves during the National Anthem! :giggle:

Haha me too! When people criticized her for cutting her hair for her Vegas show I went on a tirade - now as I look back, I didn't like the hair cut at all either but I would never admit it!

I just finished watching Sleepless In Seattle and cried my eyes out thinking of Celine and Rene. Oh God, Now there playing When I Fall In Love. :teary:

I forgot Celine sung that song for this movie. Was not prepared for that. It made me so sad, watching this movie and thinking that Celine will probably never have love like that again. I know this might not be an appropriate question at this time, but does anyone think Celine will ever find someone else?

I remember reading something not that long ago. It was a quote from a book or something, where Rene said that he wouldn't want to become a burden and if something were to happen to him, he said he would want Celine to find another man. Celine also said the same thing about Rene, she said that she would want Rene to move on and find somebody new if Celine were to pass.

I don't know what book it's from, or if it's even in a book. It might be from an interview or a magazine article or something, but someone on this forum mentioned it not that long ago.

I'm just wondering if Celine and Rene still felt that same way they did back then when they said those words?

Someone explained to me on this forum that when Celine took her ring and Rene's ring and put them on her finger at the funeral that it was a symbol in the catholic church that you do if you choose not to remarry. Does this mean Celine will never remarry? That the ring thing was like a promise to Rene that she would stay faithful to him, even in death?

It's just so sad. Thinking of Celine singing all those love songs and knowing that her one true love is gone. It just all feels so different now. I feel like I can never hear her sing again without being sad or thinking about her being sad. It breaks my heart.

I think that the only way I will feel like things are right in the world again is knowing that Celine might find true love for a second time. Then if she sings all her love songs, she will be happy and in love again.

I feel like everything is broken and destroyed. I hate this feeling of a broken fairy tale. It's like the life we always new as Celine fans is gone, erased. Celine is a different person now. A person without her soulmate, her love, her husband, the father of her children. Life without Rene is a life unknown.

I feel like Celine is the kind of person who needs love in her life. Celine has always been all about love. In a way, I hope she finds someone new to share her life with, but in another I would find it very odd for her to be with anyone who wasn't Rene. Once you've loved as hard as Celine loved Rene, I don't think you could move past that and love the same again.

I just can't picture Celine ever going there in her mind. I see her completely dedicated in life and death to Rene. This is why it's so sad. They loved so hard. Why did I ever decide to watch this movie. :confused1:

Here's a nice article about The Corrs which talks about Celine & René. The Corrs were Celine's opening act in the 90s.

My question may be ridiculous. But..

This June 20th, it's gonna be my first premiere of Céline in Antwerp (for the Live 2016 Tour). I can't wait!

Do you think there will be a new show program for this tour?

Me neither...i think there will definately be a new tourbook and of course the setlist will be different. Can't wait either! Last time the tourbook cost 20 euros or more so take extra cash with you;)

So I think it's fairly common knowledge Celine was named after that Hugues Aufray song (YT below) - but I think this is news.

It seems Hugues Aufray was on a radio show recently where he said Maman Dion had told him she and Adhemar weren't going to keep the 14th baby... and then she fell in love with this song and decided to keep it. So if this is to be believed (and he's off by 1 baby here, so... who knows...), Celine owes more than just her name to this song!

Here's an excerpt -

If true... wow.

Wow. I don't want to imagine a world without Celine's existence. I wouldn't live in the country I live now, have the great job I have and the amazing lifestyle I enjoy without Celine. I owe everything to her in a roundabout way.

Wow if that is true that is simply AMAZING

Well according to all her bios, it was the priest who convinced Therese to keep the baby. And after falling in love with the song, she decided to call the baby Celine...

Well, maybe it's a bit of both. That one line - "your life's not lost...we're the children you never had" - it's not hard to see how it my have struck a chord for Therese.

Would certainly explain Celine's reaction to this performance and the special first verse about a 'secret' that Hugues added here.

I had a dream last night where Celine was on stage, it was dark with only a spotlight on her. She takes a guitar sits on the side of the stage and sang Elle.

Oh my gosh... That would be simply magnificent, if it would happen. But it won't, mais c'est la vie...

I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!

I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

Looking at Céline wedding i ask myself if we have pictures from the civil ceremony ? Were they published ? I read someone asked if the religious ceremony was broadcasted. One answered yes. Is it sure ? I read that the ceremony was filmed for personal use of the couple but it wasn't broadcasted in full.

Other question: we know that René gave Aldo directions for Céline career. Do you think he gave instruction like " this early song will never be publically released " " this concert must be on dvd in 10 years" etc

I woke up right after the dream and thought, did that just happen. Maybe it's wishful thinking for this Summer's French tour.

Celine is everywhere :)

At the moment I'm reading the great book "It's not me, it's you" by Mhairi Mc Farlane.

It's about a young woman, who was betrayed by her boyfriend and start a new life in London.

Guess the name of the other woman: Yes, it's Celine (because her mom loves Celine).
