I know, I was thinking the same thing when I first heard the song. I've been a fan of Taylor ever since 2006 but I really love her new album. Even though its not country, I really love all the songs! But yeah, she totally copied LMBTL for that song. But its my favorite track from 1989 though.

 

I have been a fan from the early years too and I just adore the album!

I couldn't be happier for her success!!

She reminds me of Celine as in she is seen as the good girl in the industry today and that's not a bad thing at all , people need a good influence to look up to!

And the way she is with her fans is incredible , just like Celine is with hers :wub:

I know. She's the only artist who's able to sell a LOT these days. I have to admit, when I first heard she was going 100% pop, I was disappointing. But now, I couldn't be happier for her. I now embrace her new sound and I love it. Her pop songs are just as good as her country songs.

Barbra Streisand just mentioned Celine on her Facebook page.

 

 

Was is it an anniversary of their song or something? I wonder why she just randomly mentioned her. Maybe they ran into each other/spent time together recently? Whatever the reason, it was a very nice thing to say!

Babara said that Celines heart and soul are just as sweet as her beautiful voice. They are both holding a white fluffy dog, and the dogs mouth is against Celine's cheek. Very cute.

It's most likely that it was close to the anniversary of the song. "Tell Him," "Higher Ground," and "Let's Talk About Love" were all released in early November in 1997.

It's a pleasure, no worries. Am glad that you could sort of see that in your mind, what i was saying, it's nice for me to be able to make you a bit more happier with little things :hug: And yes, if that really could actually happen, you must go crazy, and do things, whatever your heart desires, for a couple of weeks. :) :flowers:

Haha, when it started, I was like, "Oh, I forgot how much I love the 'Hello, Mego' song." I thought it was a really cute idea, introducing them in song like that. But it went on reallllly long. And people stopped clapping for the last few names, like the tour directors. Felt kind of bad for them :(

Question regarding Celine's duet with Josh Groban: Apparently there was a digital track released.

Was it like they did for "Parler à mon père", like an audio file to download on itunes ?

I looked on itunes but could'nt find it ...

LOL! That would be pretty funny .. . a lot of the Unison songs are soo 80s. It would be funny to hear it today. Especially if Celine permed her hair again and wore some really 80s outfit. :giggle:

 

Cannot believe she opened a concert with Love By Another Name. So far as I know, it was never even released as a single . . . nor have I ever heard of it as anyone's favorite. Seems like kind of a random choice.

That was back in the day when (whilst promoting an album) 90% of the album would be performed. God I miss those days!

I sort of agree. While I can appreciate what they were going for by having "Love By Another Name" as the kickoff song for the concert, I would have rather had "I Feel Too Much" as the opener. The vibe and mood of that song would have gotten the crowd REALLY on their feet. Perhaps, "Love By Another Name" could have come after "I Feel Too Much."

I know, it's crazy how things have changed. Yet i think when it was done at that time, it was perfectly normal, that's how it was back then.
