Anyone else think an upto date tv documentry was missing about Celine's career in the lmbtl promo?

 

Where was it? That's promo she wouldn't have had to do anything!

These figures don't look right for some of these artists. Shania Twain can't be worth more then Barbra Streisand? I always thought Barbra was the richest, or one of the very richest female artists.

Also, What about Paul Mcartney and The Rolling Stones. They were not included on this list. Aren't they the richest artists?

I thought the same but a lot of money is made from touring these days and Celine has her Vegas deal and has toured quite a bit over the years. She also has lots of endorsements like perfumes etc!

Babs doesn't tour much and keeps a low enough profile to a point!

I'm still surprised at some of the artists who have earned more than her , when her career has spanned like 5 decades!!

I think Babs had a stage fright for a while so she did not tour as much, probably last couple decades brought her most of her wealth. Nowadays, it seems like they are being paid more than before and competition is so high...good music finds it way out though!! :)

A very random thought came to me while listening to these two songs...I would really love Celine did a techno-club music album..I mean just breakthrough. It is another thing whether her team and recording company will agree and whether Celine would agree to that. But imagined club music by Celine in a big venue like the one in Quebec City or NYC Ed.Hall. :whistling: :please:

Anyone else agree.... A new authorised biography is overdue....

 

There is hardly anything after Rene Charles was born... For keeps was in 2004... 10 years ago....

 

What about the last decade. ..... a new day, the tour, the twins...European tour... 4 new albums ... Her success in the uk.... So much has happened.... When will she give a new biography?

 

This includes bi documentaries ..... where are they.... (3 boys and a new show doesn't count) The last was 7 years ago right in English?

 

Some reflections would be nice

I was re reading the authorized biography, my story my dream, for keeps these past few days and I couldn't agree more with you, although we know that its kinda impossible now due the circumstances that she's going through.. but i wish they can release another authorized biography in the future, I don't know when... But i really hope it can happen

So I got Taylor Swifts new album and there is a song called I know places!! The intro sounds just like LMBTL!

Just watched Bette Midler's The Showgirl Must Go On and there were a couple of Celine references! Anyone see the documentary on bbc1b

before the show? Bette said it was the hardest thing she's ever done and would never do vegas again. If I remember rightly I don't think her show sold that brilliantly.

No it didn't.... first it was ok then only 80/70% and in the last leg before its closing leg it was only 60% :-O no wonder Ceasers loves Celine so much :P

I know, I was thinking the same thing when I first heard the song. I've been a fan of Taylor ever since 2006 but I really love her new album. Even though its not country, I really love all the songs! But yeah, she totally copied LMBTL for that song. But its my favorite track from 1989 though.

Question regarding Celine's duet with Josh Groban: Apparently there was a digital track released.

Was it like they did for "Parler à mon père", like an audio file to download on itunes ?

I looked on itunes but could'nt find it ...
