You know that's my song. I'd love to hear that, too. It was the right time for that because that album had just come out. Wow, I cannot believe that SA is 2 and LMBTL is 1. Damn where did the time go? Good/exciting times and I really do hope that the best is yet to come. :)

I just watched Linda Perry on an old Larry King and she was talking about how she gets to the emotions of the singer that she is with and I just had to watch the 'My Love' video again...... She worked Celine out!

I just watched Celine's last interview with Larry King and her attitude/demeanor is so very different. She is really comfortable with Larry. I didn't notice it when it first aired or maybe I just didn't remember it. To me she wasn't the soft, gentile Celine that I am used to in interviews. Compare for instance the Katie interview to the Larry one. ( I need fresh news :wacko: lol! )

Yeah unfortunately there aren't many interviewers who ask different/new questions. That's why I would love Celine to do Life Stories with Piers Morgan. He has a laugh, listens, talks through that person's life and career, and isn't afraid of asking personal/awkward/probing questions. And for Celine I think they'd need a little longer a show too. Such a lot to talk about.

Just saw this article about Taylor Swift and it makes Celine as a reference point (a very good one) to show how wisely Celine has managed to stay on top of the business despite declining album sales.

I'd love her to do something with Piers Morgan. Um, okay, her best albums are behind her? Sorry. NO. Don't believe/buy that for a second. And I'm sorry, I'm NOT a fan of Taylor. It sucks that we can't turn around without hearing her, and that Celine is no longer like that. That doesn't mean she isn't still the best singer ever, in my oh so humble oppinion out of many, of course. :( :P

So true and years ago when taylor had her second album out , I thought this girl is going to be like Celine. As in she was never seen as the cool girl but she is the one who will have the most amazing career!

I'm so happy for Taylor's susscess, like Celine she has worked from a young age for this!

And they are both so appreciative of their fans!!

What is cool about this is that a lot of people do not give her team credit for being forwarded thinking/planning for the future, but streaming is the future and she is already one of the leaders. I didn't realize she was streamed that much.

 

I do not agree her best albums are behind her, but album sales do not account for most artists money anymore (which is why most keep up touring; but, with Vegas, Celine doesn't have to do that). She basically is getting the best made plan: streaming (where music is headed, so part of the future); Vegas (so touring doesn't matter as much financially, giving her stability in the present. Not to mention she is still relevant because she still is leading different aspects of the industry), and her total album sales, impact in Vegas, awards, etc. give her a great legacy.

 

She deserves more credit than she receives (but, maybe she gets it behind the scenes, and it is a choice not to discuss it much in interviews because business was never really part of her image?)
