So, something terrifying but funny in the end happened yesterday.

 

My best friend, who lives in Portugal, sent me a package with some gifts, about a month ago. I was very happy with the gifts (Celine's Pure Brilliance, a book and a dvd - unrelated to Celine) and I immediately emailed her to thank her for the wonderful gifts.

 

The package was sent to my mother's house, so I took all the gifts with me to my house and left the box at my mom's because she would throw it out.

 

Yesterday, my friend sent me a message saying that she forgot to ask me what I thought about the tourbook she got me when she saw Celine in Paris last year. I told her she hadn't sent me the tourbook, and she said 'yes, I did, in the package with everything I sent you.' She, then, told me how she packed it really well so it wouldn't get damaged during shipping. I panicked. Just panicked and almost started to cry, because it was the tourbook I wanted and she got me and it was in the garbage, God knows where.

 

Freaking out I called my mother to ask her if she hadn't find anything in the box when she went to put it in the garbage and she went: 'I didn't put it in the garbage because I'll be using it to pack something'. Can you imagine me having a heart attack and telling my mom to go look in the box?

 

She found the box and started looking for it and voila! There it was, absurdly packed and glue to the lid of the box! Well, she said she didn't want to get it damaged... so she just hid it! :sofunny:

 

I got my mom to open it and I had to listen to her saying things like 'OMG, she's so pretty... Oh, look at these photos... she looks so good... she's beautiful' through the phone!

 

I'm so happy my tourbook is safe and sound and I can't wait to get my hands on it tonight!

 

I just can't believe it was sitting there, hidden inside the box, for almost a month and I didn't know!

 

Needless to say, my friend (who almost had a heart attack with me through text messages) is now laughing at me and won't stop. :giggle:

 

Anyway, just wanted to share it with you. :-D

 

Oh my word, i would almost have freaked out myself. am so happy for you that you managed to find it. Great news.

 

I am still waiting for mine from the boutique which i ordered on the 3 September. I emailed them yesterday asking about it, and the guy said i must give it another 2 weeks, then get back to him, if i still have not received it.

So long to wait!!!!

Why is it taking so long to arrive? Did that happen with other items from the boutique before?

It takes so long because i take the cheapest shipping, which is about $18. Now times that by about R11, that's our exchange rate. The best shipping rate is about $30, there is no way in hell i'm going to pay that. So i have to wait and wait and wait, makes me so fedup!! Even at the cheapest shipping, surely it should have been here by now? To wait another 2 weeks, that's like 2 months to get here. That's ridiculous. Anyway, there is nothing i can do about it. Just hope it comes in 2 weeks, otherwise another 2 month wait. Other times when i have ordered things, i would have gotten it like maybe a week ago. Ah well....

Well that tells me never to send anything to SOuth Africa, LOL. OMG Jessyka, I was freaking out and riding the roller coaster of having a heart attack with you as you told that story. You are so good at that. and no, I cannot believe the boys are 4 already.

We met because of Celine and we've been best friends for 12 years now. :-D

Where/how/why outside of her would a 31-year-old blind lady ever even know about or get to know...a teen-ager in Quebec who never comes here anymore, a young man from South America who shares a passion for singing that I used to, a sweet woman from South Africa who has helped me through this awful process, two Southern women who crack me up and share my deep feelings, two Brazillians who rock and one is recently engaged, etc. etc. I could go on and on. The point is, it's just really quite something! :) Jessyka, lucky you. I want a best friend/sister I met because of her. I have one, but I don't think she cares about me as much as I do for her. Can you tell us more about how you met this girl? Curious/nosy minds want to know. :laugh:

Back in the day, before this forum even existed, there was another place where Celine fans used to gather, and there was a section for Portuguese speakers. We met there in 2002, exchanging posts and messages about Celine. Then we extended our conversations to ICQ and MSN, and we found out we had so much in common it felt like we knew each other from another life.

 

In 2004 she came to Brazil for the first time and we met in person after 2 years of virtual friendship. She came to Brazil other times as well and I went to Portugal.

 

She's now part of my family and I am part of hers. We do really feel like sisters.

 

It's been a long time since we've seen each other, and even though we are talking through messages and skype constantly, I miss her so much.

 

We'll see each other next year and I just can't wait! :clap:

Another stupid question like that : Did Celine go to see e.g. Britney or other artists who also have a residency in Las Vegas ?

If I remember, Britney went to see A New Day back in 2003.

I am really missing Celine and I'm pretty bored right now. I'm a big fan of Celine, but I'm also a big fan of Kate Middleton. I love her fashion and her elegance. I actually think Celine and Kate are alike in many ways. They are both classy, sophisticated women. As I mentioned at the beginning of my post, I'm a little bored so I decided to do a six degrees of separation between Kate Middleton and Celine.

It's a little silly I know, but desperate times call for desperate measures. When I miss Celine I go a little crazy. LOL. I have always wanted Celine and Kate to meet each other and this is the closest they've come so far. LOL.

This sounds absolutely ridicules but right now I am graving a celine "note"... I know it's strange but I've always anticipated her new notes and we have always been given them .... And now I just crave just one performance with her current voice showing the world she is the greatest singer alive!

 

I don't know where her career is going right now and it does scare me.... Celine world is a bit knumb right now and it's a weird place to be in.... All the fan pages... Forums... Websites have all had little to say...

 

To think this time last year we had the excitement of a new album in just a few weeks.... Who would have thought we would be here less than a year later :/

That does NOT sound ridiculous, trust me. Neither does the 6 degrees of separation. Very neat, although I can't see it. Desperate times do call for desperate measures, and that is indeed very creative. :) Oh boy do i know what you mean. I would love that, too. I know, what a 360 degree difference from this time last year and the SA mini tour to now. I worry about her career too. The Celine world is weird and quiet, but even now, even with all this, I'd rather be in than out. It's even harder out there having never known/loved/heard/seen her. But oh yes would I LOVE a note right now!!!! And by the way, she still IS the greatest singer alive!!!! Edited by sfbaysinger

Just got to thinking this Friday is Halloween , What do you think celine will dress Eddie and Nelsen as . Suggestion ?
