HA! But they didn't say which Christmas!! Hell, she might meant Christmas 2025 :giggle:

And yes Julie Snyder said a DVD of USF would be released back in November

You're so right, we never know with them do we? Christmas 2025, maybe in Sony terms. Hope I'm still around by then. Ha ha, I mustn't joke about that. I hope I'm blessed to be around for still many years.

Julie Snyder separated from her husband in christmas time, might be one of the reasons. It was quite a shock.

Oh ok, I didn't know that. Shame, I hope she will be fine. Definitely not a nice thing to go through for anyone.

Oh really? Priorities take place over some DVD I guess even if it is Celine :giggle:

I thought people here might enjoy this article: http://www.huffingto..._n_5065209.html

Aretha. Celine. Whitney. Mariah. The ultimate divas.

Miley. Katy. RiRi. Gaga. The ... ummm?

Posting the article is not designed to start some silly fight about singers (it is possible to be a fan of more than one person). Mind your manners, please.

I thought the article was interesting in light of some of the posts on this forum regarding LMBTL sales. I think CelineDIVO5 has made a similar point before in regards to Celine Dion's status in the industry (at least, I think it was CelineDIVO5 who has talked about Celine Dion's status and role in the music industry in regards to sales, etc. But, maybe not. If I am wrong, then sorry! Feel free to correct me :)).

Yes!! That was me!! I completely agree with this article. I have said numerous times on this forum that the day of the diva is dead. We no longer have anyone that has that kind of influence. Nobody is exuding the talent, class or presence to be considered a diva. Here is the full discussion from HuffPost.com. It's very interesting.

You should check out the board for the "Celine" show for more information.

RORCH is rear orchestra. She walks through Front Orchestra (or she did, not sure if that will continue for the summer shows). Last time I went, she didn't shake hands with anyone in the AA seats of the Front Orchestra section (she walks through two particular Front Orchestra sections, but I hear rumor she switches it up sometimes, so this is why I am not referencing a specific section.) She shook hands with people who had a meet and greet who were sitting in the front row. It makes sense--with Rene recovering from surgery, she would want to avoid as many germs as possible; if she has already met the people before the show, she knows they are not sick.

Regardless of your seat location, it's hard to get a bad seat to the show! It's a great venue for any show. Have fun!!!

Yes, I sat in Rear Orchestra 2 in June, she walked right by our section down the main walkway from the door on the right. However, I've been 3 times and sometimes she has come from the back orchestra doors. Anyway, she didn't shake anyone's hand that night but she was literally like 3 feet in front of me! If I would have know she was switching up which door she was coming in I could have reached out and touched her, but I wasn't expecting it! I also saw Rene that night, he sat 1 section over from us in the front orchestra section. Great seats, worth every penny.

Falling Into You is only $ 7.99 on iTunes today if anyone needs an extra digital copy :)

I'm also loving the iTunes review, which is really good - and has this fabulous last line: "Grand in design and impeccable in execution, it still captures the essential sweetness of the artist its center."

I agree 100%! FIY was always my favorite album.

I edited my post above because I didn't want to have security stuff in it. But, in light of your post, I thought I should add something, which is this: do not try shaking her hand anymore, wherever you sit.

It was reported on the "Celine" thread, I do not remember the topic on that board (sorry), but a fan rushed her during her walk down the aisle later summer or fall (so, after your June visit, flutefreak). She was walking down, singing HDYKTMP, and when she looked up a a so-called fan was in her face. Security was able to step in, thankfully.

I had a longer post written, but I do not want security information on the board. Why make it harder for her team?

The take-away is this: I went to the show before the "fan" incident, and after. Now, if you are in aisle she walks past, you are not permitted to reach out to her at all. Doing so is grounds for removal. You can shake her hand if she reaches for you (which was always the rule before), but when you are seated in aisle AA, they provide explicit warnings--no one can reach out into the aisle. I believe that would apply to any row she walks past.

If any of the moderators feel there is too much security related information in this post, please feel free to edit. The goal is really for people to know the rules have changed, and they are no longer permitted to shake her hand. I wanted to provide the brief update in light of flutefreak's comments about reaching out to her, or being able to do so in June. You can't do that now, and trying to do so can get you kicked out.

Good to know. I wouldn't have reached out to her anyway that's just not me. I've actually always thought it was risky for her to shake hands with people due to the germs and you never know what some would do. Just stating how close you would be. I do remember reading about that incident on the other thread, scary!

Guys I was there in Feb. and we were all reaching out our hand and she shook them quickly and looked happy :) However some nights she doesn't take anyone's hand even if you are in AA.

Just don't stand up and make a movement toward her.

I've already seen this, the other day on the forum. I emailed management at Colosseum and you are still allowed to shake hands with Celine...but are not allowed to leave your seat

Generally you can reach out your hand, sometimes she shakes it sometimes she misses it. It's kind of difficult if you're not on the aisle. :)

This is going to sound macabre... Cut your hand off, throw it at Celine so she can shake it, and then she'll throw it back to you. Then rush to the hospital immediately to get it sewn back on, et voil

à!

I have a not so good quality version with subtitles in german or something...I'm not so sober right now, but I do have it! If anyone has a better version, please let us know!

Thank you! I've been looking for that Oprah show forever - it had disappeared from YouTube for awhile. I think it's probably my favorite of her many Oprah appearances -- Celine and Rene both radiated such joy . .and when Rene brought RC on -- such a cute/sweet family! Love it!
