celine4evauk Posted March 12, 2014 at 05:42 PM Posted March 12, 2014 at 05:42 PM Wrong. She was obviously there just to promote her vegas show. Shes really passionate abt her albums and want to release the best albums with as much hits as possible. Sometimes celine is like that, she can be very paradoxal, depending where she is and/or what she is promoting. I mean listen to every single words that comes out of her mouth. Looks like she was brainwashed 10 min prior to the interview by the mayor of las vegas and the CEO of caesar palace. Celine said back in 1996 while promoting FIY album, while she hopes her albums have a long life i'll be happy as long as i can go on stage and have my audience there. 1
Lu CelineFan Posted March 12, 2014 at 06:13 PM Posted March 12, 2014 at 06:13 PM totally random.... I was listening to Michael Bublé and just wondering it would be amazing if Céline do a duet with him 5 Team Céline Dion Brazil@lu_celinefan

Celine has spent more of her life on stage than she has in a recording studio. Other singers are the opposite. Her actions speak for themselves. 1

zuv Posted March 12, 2014 at 06:45 PM Posted March 12, 2014 at 06:45 PM (edited) Sounds like you're in denial. Celine has spent more of her life on stage than she has in a recording studio. Other singers are the opposite. Her actions speak for themselves. lol well, if i'm in denial, i think you're a bit naive: she's clearly there to give a boost and promote her Vegas show. And of course she spends more time on stage than in recording studios. That's easy math, (1 show=3hours and 1 studio song= 2hours more or less) It's a question of being famous or not; even Barbra Streisand who doesn't like to be on stage will be more often on stage than in recording studios. Let's not forget that she also recorded a little over 20 albums in 31 years of career.... Those are also actions that speak for themselves. Edited March 12, 2014 at 06:46 PM by zuv

I agree that she was on the show to promote her Vegas show, and sounded a bit like a spokesperson for the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce -- but I also think she was completely sincere, especially when she was talking about performing live. One thing Celine has always been 100 % consistent about is her love of live performance -- she may enjoy recording, too, but her first love and her greatest joy (in show business) has always been performing live, regardless of the economics of any of it. This was true from that first time she sang in public at her brother Michel's wedding at age 5 and tasted the thrill of performance and applause; when she begged her mother to allow her to sing in the family piano bar at age 9 or 10; to all those interviews throughout the 90s when she referred to the stage as "the gift of show business" and albums as building blocks for new shows. Celine is such a lover of people -- she loves the interaction, the give-and-take with the audience. As one example of many, look at 31:50 of this interview with Celine during the Falling Into You tour, where she says: "I do all this because of one thing - because I want to go on stage. Because it's two-way. When you're in a studio and you sing, and you put those headphones on . . .there's no feedback . . the engineer doesn't even look at you when you sing. But on stage, you sing "For all those . ." [and people go crazy]" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sAfERYg8kA 3

So many times I think she looks like a younger celine Kev x OMG! I was thinking the same thing. I saw a pick of Ellie Goulding about a month ago and thought she resembled Celine. I was going to talk about it on the forum, but i thought people would just disagree with me, so i didn't say anything. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who has noticed this. There not dopplegangers or anything, but there is for sure a Celine look about her from certain angles. 1

I'm starting to really like Ellie's music though, she has something different about her that I really like. 1

Lol I also have a similar shaped face to Celine's and i found out a few years ago that Celine and i are actually cousins. My family is French and Celine is related to my grandmas side of the family. Not closely related, but still. It is so cool!! My mom and grandma always told me that i looked like Celine, so when i found out that we are distant cousins, I was like there's a reason. It's funny cuz we even share the same interests. I love to sing and so do my close cousins on that side of my family. 3
