If you've got The Collector's Series Volume One, I think it includes production information on the song in the linear notes. I'm not entirely sure though; I'm at work, so I can't check it out. Hope that helps!

I was just lying here in bed and the thought crossed my mind that Celine is a little more adventuresome than what some would like to believe. For some strange reason, I feel like if Celine had been left up to her own devices she would have developed into a Madonna type or in more recent times Brittany type artist. However, because of rene, age being a factor and his hold on her, he kept her from going in that direction. I think Celine has a little rebellion in her and it came through in some of her risque fashion choices early in her career and her hair during AND. Those were two things she knew would have people talking and things she had control over. Things that shocked people and she learned that that persona didn't fit with what was naturally in her. Now that she is older she is resigned to renes choices for her and appreciates them more.

 

Just something that came to me. What are your thoughts?

I have been thinking the same thing for quite some time now. I think that the reason why she didn't end up like Madonna or Britney, was because René was stickt on what she would wear. I think it was good he did that but I also think that sometimes, he did go a little far with that. Like, that outfit she wore for the release of Incognito when she sung Jour de fièvre, I'd say was a bit much for a girl her age... I'm surprised René let her even wear that...

I also think that maybe the only way Mama Dion would really let Celine work with Rene is if he made sure she didn't become "buck wild" like some of the other artists of the day. I think both her mother and Rene played a major role in that. Someone posted earlier a statement Celine made about when she decided to cut and dye her hair. Rene told her the people wouldn't like it. Her response "I don't even have control over my own hair". Maybe I'm reading a little too much into statements like that but I tend to pay attention to what people say and how they say it. It seems to me that it has been a struggle for her in some ways, wanting to have some control over her career but people around her keeping it out of her hands. Perhaps she needed an album like Janet Jackson's "Control" or something. Who knows what she would have come up with

 

I think if someone were to go back and really pay attention to some of the things Celine has said over the years and watched videos of her, focusing on her expressions, verbal and nonverbal, he or she would find that Celine truly reveals much more about herself than we even realize. Though Celine does reveal a lot, she doesn't reveal just as much regardless of how much of an open book she says she is. Though she has in some ways "quenched" or surpressed that desire to be in control (or desire to be a rebel), I still believe that one day Celine is going to say or do something that is going to shock everybody. She's waiting for the right time and I believe it will be a huge!

 

Again just a few thoughts.

I hope someone can help me. I am looking for the interview that Celine did with somebody, i dont know who. I think it could have been round about before the first Vegas show began. She was very upset and crying, saying she did not want to go ahead with Vegas, cause she wanted to look after RC. Then Rene said too much money had already gone into getting things started. Please, i would so love to 'download' it, not just to look at it somewhere.

So, if anyone knows where i can find it, i would be sooo grateful. Thanks

I was looking on Ebay and noticed that gold Lindt bunny that Celine signed to raise money for Autism received the most money out of all the celebs that joined in this charity. The highest bid was over $500 which is way more than other celeb bunnies went for.

I simply mean that you can learn a lot about a person through their nonverbal communications. Facial expressions and physical movements when certain topics are discussed. Another thing is that in this forum you have a lot of people who wish Celine would talk more about herself as opposed to talking about being a mother, a wife, so forth and so on but if you notice she doesn't ever stray from those topics during her interviews. Pretty predictable. She doesn't really talk a lot about herself she talks more about the roles she plays . She gives the impression that she is an open book but she is not. Not really. I don't blame her though. She has the right to keep her life private. These are simply observations I've made and probably others have made them too.

Ok so i've been looking through old photoshoots, and i really want celine to do a different style shoot.

Like i thought time periods, so a retro 30's screen siren look or 50's housewife. the 60's retro, and disco 80's. i Think it would really show the fun side of celine to other people, we all know she doesn't take herself that seriously, and that she loves to laugh so why not something like this ? i think it'd be great! opinons ???

I just wanted to say for people here who get CTV. They're going to be showing a episode tonight, called ETalk: Céline in Sin City. There should be be, one tonight (thursday) and on Friday. I don't have any more info. That's all I can say for now!

I have a different question:

does Celine ever sing with her microphone in her right hand? I can't remember seeing her do that.

 

I do remember however always seeing her having trouble with her earpieces (AND, Sur les plaines etc etc)!

It's incredible with all the professionals she has in her sound team that they still haven't found earpieces that fit her... I mean nowadays they can mold them so they fit your ears perfectly.

Well this is soarta random but at my school we're doing a play (The Wizard of Oz) and my friend Melissa (she's playing Dorothey & she has an amazing voice ) & I were messing round then she mentioned the Celine Duion Happy Birthday commercial. SHe sang the song the way Celine sings it with all the passion & the accent & it was hilarious because she made the same exact facial expressions & it sounded similar too so it was funny & the way Celine says happy birthday in that voice; she did it too & it was just hilarious X) Then some of my other friends came along & we were all talking about Celine which was cool becaus ei had no idea they even knew who Celine was!
