But what about phoenix? i still dont get it. her voice cracks, so it is not a recording? is it not true to say she was singing live in pheonix as she is obviously struggling singing it? how then is it definetely not live,? it does not crack any other time she sings it Edited by takeachance

Sending Love and Prayers to Celine

The whole song is live except the ''anymoreee'' part. That is why you can hear she was sick. The ''anymoreee'' did crack slightly every night (and you can hear it if you use earphones). That is why I agree with Tyler. It is possible that they used an actual live peformance of that song. I mean if it was prerecorded, wouldn't she have sang it untill it was perfect?

I also have another theory: I think that it is possible that she actually sang the note each night and that they mixed her voice with the playback version. That is why you sometimes hear a double ''any...'' That could also explain why it looked like it was not a big deal... I mean she obviously was not hitting it full on... Another reason I say this: that note sounds a lot ''fuller'' than before. That could also explain why some people say that the note had a different tone some nights. Just a thought...

She is certainly like no other singer out there... My friend always sais that she sometimes wonders if Celine is really 41 because she is like a little girl (but she means it in a good way of course). There is definitely a childlike playfulness about her which I think is one of the reasons people love her so much.

It's an Aries thing! :P I know you know what I mean! We crazy.

LOL! Definitely! My friend always says I'm just like her. Can't sit still...

Imagine if her baby is born before April 22. Poor Rene and Rene-Charles. They will have their hands full... I sometimes wonder how Rene keeps up with her... or maybe she keeps him young...

Your theory is interesting, and I thought of it for awhile... but in order for her to do that, she would have to time all the tone changes perfectly. Look at :23-:26 on this video below. The tone changes about 3-4 times and in order for there to not be two voices, she would have to be completely in sync with all those tone changes. Seeing as how we never saw that on any shows, I would say that is an unlikely theory.

Other people have raised up the idea of it being auto tuned. That still doesn't change the fact that it's been identical every time. If it was auto tuned, wouldn't she make the effort to make it sound different every time, thus putting these conversations to rest.

I know! I agree, Rene loves Celine but I bet half the time he is like What the heck..... but in a good way :) Aries can be...animated.....to say the least! I hope the baby is an Aries, but it might be a bit early for delivery if it was. If it is, you're right, they had better watch out! :D

Maybe they left the little voice crack in there to create a more "live" feeling. IDK, but I don't think that it was recorded from the 2/16 show. I think it would be too difficult to make it sound acapella and all. She probably wanted to sing it live for the benefit concert, but IDK. I don't think we need to analyze it that much, but I guess anything is possible.

But why would she choose to make an exception for ABM and sing it live, but opt to lip IACBTMN and TPOL (this is confirmed through video)? People on YouTube have made live performances "almost" a capella and her sound/production/whatever team has more technology then Youtubers. Maybe they have something that can specifically record the sound leaving the mic and only the mic???

Maybe she just wanted to try the note, where as singing the other songs completely live would be a whole heck of a lot more effort. Who knows? I'm not sure, but for some reason I don't think she would be able to sing that note better than all other live performances, in the 90's and just after she recorded the song...

IACBTMN would be a heck of a lot harder then ABM? LOL. IACBTMN is the easiest of her lipped songs. And I know alot of people say TPOL is harder, but really it isn't much different then ABM. They both have high register long belts and a few other so-so parts in terms of difficulty.

I think it is possible to record only her voice. I mean isn't that how they do it in the studio? Even though she sings to the track, they only record her voice and then afterwards they do the mixing...

QueenCeline: What makes you think that Celine won't be able to sing that note better than the 90's. I mean even if it was recorded in a studio before the tour, she still had to hit it in the studio. And in my opinion it is better than some performances of the 90's. Actually, there are lots of songs she sings better today than in the 90's. But hey that's just me...

Just thought of something else: Maybe it was their plan all along for her to hit the note the first show and then use the recording of it throughout the tour, but Celine was not happy with it, so she tried it the second night again.

First, it is easy to take out audience voice and clapping and keep a note. Think of I Surrender endnote in Las Vegas. You can see people clapping yet, no noise aside from her voice.

It is not autotuned, I am almost positive. Autotune makes a destinct sound everytime I'v heard it, even if the same note was kept. Another reason I dont think its autotuned is because "Any" from Anymore is two different notes "aa" "nyy" and the change in tone would make the autotune go crazy.

I think what Tyler explained is probably the closest thing to what happened/what was going on. About mixing, IDK whats all involved in that.

Interesting. I've never noticed the ''I Surrender'' note. But why did they do that if the note was live?

Yesterday I forced my Dad to listen to some Celine. :D

Listened to the vegas performances of TLYM and RDMH. I made him WATCH both on my iPod and he was a bit surprised at how hot Celine was in RDMH, lol!! And then he was laughing at the karate kick in TLYM. We then had a discussion about all of her weird stage antics and I showed him the ABM performance from the FIY Tour in Montreal where she did her typical weird thing after the big note and he thought it was hilarious, lol! I then told him that for the last tour she added a new element where at the end of the final note she laid down on the ground with her geet behind her back while her back was arched up and arms back and he was like "WTF??" lol....

So I was looking for a good video to show him that and found the ABM performance in Phoenix (which btw, when listening to it on my iPod I noticed the word "any" in their twice for the first time...never been able to hear it before).

Gotta love Celine's weird stage antics. :P

2 Big notes in ABM, Ending note in TPOL, talk to me in taking chances, karate kick in vegas TLYM and TC Tour Alone, (and Brunei LCMM), chest thump in various songs, air guitar in various songs.... what else?!?! lol

Oh, and who can forget the Jerry Lewis Telethon performance of If I Could where she was going crazy with her facial expressions and punching...it's the best. lol.

Some more weird stage antics: Celine pretending to fall asleep on stage

. I wonder how her costumes stay clean during a show if she is always crawling around on stage. I suppose they clean it after every show...

I wonder if somebody can help me. I'm looking for the video where Celine sings the phonebook to Whitney's song ''I Will Always Love You''. I saw it a long time ago but now I can't find it.

The 15 second ending note is live, but auto tuned I think. If you watch the behind the scenes stage thing or w/e, it's not auto tuned and it sounds different I think. I believe they had to remove noise to autotune? Idk, but listen to it carefully. In some parts, the volume is weird and gets lower the tiniest bit (almost as if the tone is trying to change but is forced not to).

Good point on the first paragraph!

Better then some performances? More like better then all! Sure it may be a semi-tone lower, but it ends much more strongly then all of the 90's. A D5 is only a semitone off of Eb5 right? She held D5 in 2007 on IDAN for the Today Show for 3 seconds. I don't see why she couldn't go a slight bit longer and a slight bit higher. Not to mention her voice was in a better condition on the tour then it was in the middle of Vegas and TC promotion.

RDMH is 45083 times better these days. Although that's probably the only one I can say that for (almost everything else is either a new addition this tour or lipped...or LCMM...LOL, which we all know sucks).

That's an interesting point. I could see her planning to do the first show live (or all of them, considering she had NO playback made before-hand) because this song has always been live in the past, and she probably thought about continuing that (despite the fact that it is just as hard as any other lipped song and WAY harder then IACBTMN and MHWGO).

If you think about it, there isn't any song that is currently lipped was ever at any point live before (in terms of tours). And the same can be said about live songs. The only thing that is live now that has ever been lipped before is RDMH in Vegas (which I know alot of you disagree with, but whatever lol...discuss it later. ABM > RDMH in importance) :P

It is live, dont worry. They autotuned the note and drowned out the audience, probably to accentiate[that is probably not the word I am thinking of] the note. But compare the note to the bootleg, it's different. :P :]

About RDMH Tyler: IDC if it was live in Vegas or not, it was live during the TCWT and it was awesomeoooo! :P :D:D

OMD.. today I just found out that my spanish teacher was a huge Celine fan.. she has all 21 of her albums and used to be in her fanclub when she was younger.. She likes to play spanish music in class and then I saw that she had Andrea Bocelli so I asked her to play some so she did then I asked her later if she has Celine and she said yes which song do you want, and I just thought it would be a couple songs but no... She clicked the button to sort by artist and I was amazed.. it was a HUGE list I mean she had everything.. 1F4T, ANDHC, TC, everything really.. So I asked her to play Taking Chances so she did and I was singing along and my partner had to try to sometimes get me to focus on our activity.. She played some other songs and then I asked her for more Celine and she did, she let everything play so I ended up listening to Taking Chances, The Greatest Reward, Aun Existe Amor (I dont know if I spelled that right), and When The Wrong One Loves You Right.. I was sooo glad and then I talked to her and she told me that she had all her cds.. So yeah, that was pretty much the highlight of my day hehe
