So I was watching Vh1 earlier and they were airing the fabulous lives of posh popstars, well I almost didn't catch it because it was so quick but they did mention Celine! They said in Jan of 08 she purchased the two(maybe one I can't remember) lot(s) beside her home on the ultra exclusive and expensive Jupiter Island. Two would make sense because it said she had a total of four acres on the island. She spent 7 MILLION on the TWO new acres, and spent I think they said six hundred thousand dollars to build a guest house and TWO olympic size pools in the T shaped compound. Now correct me if I'm wrong, if anyone else has saw this but I'm pretty sure that's what they said. I could be off on the exact numbers and what not because I saw this a few hours ago and just now was able to get on a post this. Edited by Belle Céline

Quite old news actually... Renlec Enterprises, one of Celine's & Rene's companies bought the place about 4 years ago. They started to rebuild the property, which is currently ongoing.

 

It's only one of multiple properties they have in Canada, the USA and abroad ;)

:doh: Well there's go my bubble. I feel stupid now. I thought this was actually 'new' information. Apparently I'm wrong. I don't keep up with her real estate spending :whistling:

 

Anyway I do have something new and I'm not aware of anyone posting this yet, for the Diva's promotion Vh1 has a poll set up on their website and you can vote for your favorite 'Diva's' video's out of what the list. Sadly they only list MHWGO for Celine, but you can vote as many times as you want and as often as you want. You can only vote the video once in each list but I just voted for Celine for my number one pick and some other songs I like as well. You don't have to pick ten though you can pick however many you want.

I think that's a scan from the DVD booklet, there is no original HQ that I know of. Here's one from the show that is kinda similar:

Does anybody have HQ pictures of Celine and Andrea Bocelli, when they sang the prayer at the grammys? And celine is wearing the white dress?

Do you mean the Oscars? When Celine performed The Prayer at the Grammy's she was wearing a greyish dress. Sadly there are no photos of her performance at the Oscars, which is weird.

has anyone had a good experience in ordering from Celine's website my friend said she'd get me the SLP DVD but on amazon.com it is 35 dollars and on Celine's website its only 20 dollars. She can't get it off amazon she said because she doesn't have enough money right now so I found out on Celine's site its only 20 dollars. Is the official site okay to order off of? Do they ship things pretty quickly and do they have a good reputation for purchases? You don't have to be a TC member to order off the official site right?

They give "discounts" (if you want to call them that) to TC members and have a few items for members only, but most items can be ordered by anyone. In my experience it takes a long time for items to arrive when ordered off the website. A long time being 6-8 weeks. Sometimes it's faster, sometimes it's slower. If you want the DVD quickly, I would pay the extra $15 and buy it off Amazon. Or you may be able to get it cheaper if you look at other sellers through Amazon. Some sell new, sealed DVDs for a cheaper price.

She won't buy the one off amazon she said its to much money. So I have to get the one off the official site. I'll just go ahead and I guess wait till next month and get it. She's going to order it next week or so but it'll be next month before I get it since you said it takes about six to eight weeks. :doh:

I think her backwards tuxedo drew attention away from her performance dress so no one bothered photographing it. :giggle:

No, she didn't record it for an album. She only performed it once (David Foster accompanied her on the piano) in December 1989 at a TV benefit gala for the Cystic Fibrosis "65 Roses: A Gift of Love".
