There are going to be several of us in the diamond area. I’m also going by myself. I think a few others are as well. You don’t have to worry about looking like a Billy No Mates - there are going to be 65,000 people all smushed in together. Lol Especially if you get there early, the other insane Celine fans (like me) are going to try to be as close as possible to the front! I’m sure we’ll all find each other.

Jeez, just looked at the times for everyone and it seems people attending Stevie Wonder’s night are definitely getting bang for their buck, not only are they getting 1 hr 15 mins of Lionel Ritchie, who is himself a huge name, Stevie, it seems, is performing for 3 hrs!!

 

I hoped we would’ve got that from Celine, just because it was a one off event, I had kinda hoped she would throw everything in to it and leave it all there on the stage lol but suppose 2 hrs will suffice, providing she starts on time cos we know what she’s like in that respect. I do wonder why it’s 2 hrs 5 mins as the listed time, it does seem very specific. I wonder if they’ve done some kind of run through/rehearsals while in Vegas and it took this amount of time or if the time is just a guidance only.

 

Anyway, it’s coming real soon now and I’m getting more and more excited!! Got our T shirts done today. Black with white writing for myself and my sister and white with black writing for my little nephew.

Oh my Gosh - I can’t believe this is only 5 days away!! Once I get through the anxiety-inducing thing that is a plane ride over the ocean I’ll get more excited. But even with my dread of the flight, I’m starting to get a little excited about the event itself. Weather is still predicted to drop to a pleasant 70ish degrees. The energy is going to be amazing as it’s opening day of the festival. When Celine comes out, I’m going to go cray-cray!!!

That's what I thought. I am in gold and hope to get in there early enough to get a good spot. The only thing I am slightly worried about is how early to get in position. I intend on arriving at the start of the event, but don't want to have to stand from 2pm until when Celine comes on in the same spot.

I sort of get what you're saying, but having her in my home country and in a very different setting to usual means that I am just excited to go along no matter how much different the show is to Vegas or not.

Well to be fair... she never rehearses a lot (for these kind of shows). Her team/band/orchestra do most of the work.

They decide on the setlist early on and she learns/rehearses the (new) songs at her own pleasure and shows up for a general & dress rehearsal the day before and the day itself and that's it. And it's not as she doesn't have a teleprompter on stage with her... so she can always read the (new) lyrics when she forgets the words.

 

You should just expect the usual songs with maybe 2-3 new songs. And maybe you'll be surprised.

When it comes to Céline.... we should never expect "too much"..

So many people are posting everywhere about selling their tickets, makes me worried about how many people will actually be there, especially with the fact that there’s still tickets available for all price tiers. I would’ve thought that GA at the very least, being the cheapest option, would’ve sold out!

 

Sadly, I really don’t think this has been as successful sales wise as they thought and perhaps that’s why they haven’t been able to add any more acts to the bill. I just hope there are enough people there to create a good atmosphere.

Wow, lovely attitude before going to a show. I suggest you sell your ticket instead of going. It sounds so awful to have the opportunity to see Celine in London!
