I do hope they add some more energetic acts too. I like Josh a lot but not for a day time concert when getting drunk in the summer in London. I don’t expect hardcore dance acts but something to get people pumped for Céline...

I don’t think it’s going to be a day drinking type of festival. I researched this event as much as I possibly could to figure out which type of tickets to get. There was one 20 something who posted a YouTube video describing her experience at Carole King. She said it wasn’t the usual type of people that you would expect at the festival. She said that, if she wanted to get a drink, there was never a line at the bar. However, you had to wait about 45 minutes to an hour in line for a cup of tea. That’s the type of audience I’m expecting at a Celine Dion/Stevie Wonder/Barbra Streisand weekend festival.

 

I saw Streisand only one other time at a major arena in Brooklyn. The place ran out of wine - they were totally not expecting that. Usually audiences at concerts drink beer so they had plenty of that. Barbra’s fans were all wine drinkers though. I remember making friends with other audience members who were like “I found a vendor on the other side of the arena who still has some wine!!”

I think maybe that rumored new duet seems more possible than ever now. I for one hope she didn’t record a new song with josh, tho I like him I feel as if she’s been there and done that already: and IF there is ANY new duets on the English upcoming album, I hope it’s something amazing and unexpected.

I love Sia, this would be awesome, maybe one of the three sia songs is a duet... ;) and please a duet with adele would be amazing

Well I'm not at all thrilled about this - would rather see a hipper act (and who again is Claire Richards? :wacko: ) - but at least Josh really loves Celine. Always has, always will.

Josh Groban does not have a mpusica recorded with Celine, who knows this song is not part of the new album, once I saw a photo with some songs that could be of the new celine album and had the name of Josh Groban in the photo.

I do not know, rather she'd do a duet with another singer. Nothing against Josh Groban.

If she's only going to give us one English record every 6 years, I'd rather it not be full of duets.

Now, if she were more prolific, by all means. That's a different story.

But I think they days of an album a year are long gone.

There’s nothing to say to that Celine won’t have “special guests” perform with her during the show much like the John Farnham appearance in Australia, but people expecting Sia or Ed Sheeran to be added to the bill to perform before Celine need to seriously lower their expectations.

I wasn’t being that specific about a duet for the album or on stage etc... nor I absolutely want a duet or was referring to sheeran as an opener, of course not and, that s not my point.

 

I m just factually noting that so far for her come back the only name attached to it is Josh Groban. That s all. And the message sent here is not very appealing, modern or exciting, whatever you want.

So to make a comeback, Cêline has to ditch the people she likes and has a history with in favour of people who are 'cooler'? (btw people on here thinking Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran are cool, I have to laugh...)

The cool thing about Céline is that she doesn't try to be cool. People are finally realizing that. Let her be goofy with her buddy Josh.

You can continue distorting words from other people and accumulate stereotypes or just admit that sometimes it s good to try new things (while staying true to yourself blabla I see you coming) And by the way she can be goofy as hell with her pal Josh in her free time as long as she want. I just wouldn’t pay for that.

Atleast that’s a bit of fun and more of a festival vibe even if it’s only 1 sing and I doubt the general public have never heard this song either they be like wtf... is she rapping? Lol

I sure wasn't either. I am not a fan of Sam Smith,. I like Sheeran, going to see him live this summer. But a duet ?? nope.

 

I actually don't want any duet on the new album. I think we will have one with Josh Groban though.

 

And I love Josh! I saw him live in 2007 and he was freaking awesome!! I don't care for Barbra Streisand but when I saw Josh was performing, I gave it a serious thought if I should head over to London and see Céline + Josh
