JLo and Miley Cyrus as possible special guests seems so odd. They must be on her new album if that's the case but even that seems too wierd.

 

The special guests are just support acts on throughout the course of the day before the main headliners at night.

 

They don’t need to have any connection to the main act at all.

 

I wouldn’t imagine Celine will have any involvement with them other than The Prayer with Andrea Boceli if this line up is to be believed.

Well it certainly wasn’t by my hand. I’m sceptical too but did think it was a random list of names so you never know.

 

There will definitely be a few well known acts thrown in as is always the case with these types of festivals.

This lineup is circulating around the internet, saw it on Celine’s fb page under the event duscussions. Is this just wishful thinking cos it seems a too good to be true lineup of support acts.

 

I’d say this would help shift a fair few more tickets if it is real.

 

We know Claire Richards is a definite and I know Belina Carlisle is in London for a charity event the previous evening so she would certainly make sense.

Yeah that was an Andrea Bocelli show. Not part of a festival, people dont commonly go to see Celine type artists at festivals, let alone an opera singer

But this festival is being headlined by Celine Dion so the support acts announced will be carefully considered to suit Celine’s fan base.

 

I don’t know what the infatuation is with repeatedly saying ‘it’s a festival’...it’s just a day of live music acts and anyone performing/attending will just treat it as a live performance.

Did we think Celine was a festival person before this was announced?? I certainly didn’t.

 

BST is not your average festival, it’s the ones where you camp over the weekend and there’s drugs and all sorts going on that I would class as a real festival.

Of course it’s fake but all I was thinking is possibly someone has some inside information as to who has been approached or confirmed to appear.

Take a look at last years line up with Michael Buble. Is Van Morrison not what some would consider a headliner in his own right, and you can see the acts announced here have been chosen to appeal to an adult contemporary market as is Michael himself. It’s not as if they announced some weird indie rock group in the same line up.

 

Lets wait and see who gets announced but I would be very surprised if we don’t get at least another couple of well known acts.

Who ever her special guests are they don’t have to be, but they like them to be signed to the same label as the headliner as it makes things a bit easier.

 

Celine and Clare have the same label and marketing manager at Sony UK for example

I just hope Celine sells enough to be Sold Out, I looked at the festival's official website and Michael Loop was not exhausted, the others all went.

I hope that Celine makes history in this festival, maybe who knows not to record a dvd.

Agree: doing a concert there could send a wrong message as their human rights record is appalling.

 

Why punish the innocent fans and people who LOVE Celine because the governments less than stellar record?

Having been to the Middle East multiple times I can say that the region totally adore Celine, very very common to hear her music on loop in the restaurants, clubs, banks, lounges, etc.
