Sorry but thats not going to go down well and definitely wont sell well.... most Barbra fans are certainly not the festival type.

 

And yeah, If anything Celine will go to Barbras show,

Barbra is too full of herself to perform at Celines show

 

 

Notice barbra used Celines exact phrasing “this is a european exclusive for 2019” hmm... same PR team lol ?

You seem to have a very narrowly-defined view of what constitutes a festival.

They exist in all shapes and sizes and genres, you know...

Its called reality darling.

 

BST is commonly a rock/pop festival. Of course there are festivals for adult contemporary, death metal, folk, jazz etc... this is a commonly rock/pop festival. Celines catalogue and image is just wide enough to fit that. Barbra is the epitome of classy adult contemporary and classic broadway songs... literally not a festival person at all

Oh, come on ... she can sing on whatever stage she wants 😂

 

Celine is not a "festival person" either, but it's not like this is Coachella. This is a general access music festival that wants to get as wide as variety of people as possible to attend. So it's not a sure that they've booked Celine and Barbra.

Well apparently it's not that black and white. :mellow: And that particular weekend is more "adult comtemporary" themed.

And technically you can't really call it a festival... it's more of a headliner + special guest show... so it can be any type of artist.

If you have to resort to being patronising to make your point, you need to do better.

 

And for what it's worth, BST has hosted no shortage of AC acts in its brief existence. Clearly, it's working. They are very evidently aiming at a Babs-era demographic, with its high disposable income and propensity for nostalgia.

Ah yes, Robbie Williams, Florence and The Machine,The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Black sabbath, taylor swift, neil young, the who and Blur are very AC...

 

The only AC people its hosted are Michael Buble and Lionel Richie who are hardly hardcore AC artists.

 

If you have to resort to false information about BST hosting many AC artists then you need to do better :rolleyes:

Literally google BST lineups from 2013 to now... michael buble and lionel richie... thats it... what because i left our Kylie minogue thats me being “convenient” ? Sure lol, Kylie, the lumineers... NOT AC lol

yes,yes and yes! Two of the most iconic , incredible singers ever, Singing in the same place. All I can say is 'lucky UK!' I don't understand how people can say anything but that!

I don't see the problem.

 

It's pride weekend, Barbra is an artist you have to see once in a lifetime, same goes for Celine.

 

Barbra doesn't do shows as much as celine does, so even the Barbra fans would go to the 'festival'

 

Don't focus on that, it will work out.

 

People who want to rock and dance will go to Robbie, and the people who want love and ballads will go to Celine and Barbra

Yeah... as I said... Lionel Richie (WITH JLO) and Michael Buble lol... oh and Carole King who i wouldnt consider AC more blue eyed soul / pop but.. hey ho

 

Perhaps you wouldn't, but I would. Absolutely. Along with numerous others on that list.

No shortage of AC, along with an entire stable of legacy acts in their 70s... Coachella this ain't.

 

Point is - Why shouldn't Babs play a festival? This, or any other?

Clearly there's plenty of demand among the boomer audience.

Hello All! I have decided I’m doing this - no way I’m missing this concert.

 

QUESTION: To people who have gone before....the website states that the VIP summer garden has some seating in the shade. Does anyone have any more info on this. How many chairs? What are they like? Do you have to fight for them? The husband is not going to stand with me all day. The website states that, if I buy us diamond level tickets, we can go between that and the summer garden. He’s also content to let me do it by myself for the day and do sightseeing on his own. It would depend on what the seating is like.

 

Thanks in advance for any info. I can’t believe I’m going to do this! I had already decided not to but then today it just hit me that, just like the Millennium Concert, this is a special event that I don’t want to miss!!

Thanks, Stevo - it’s a good idea to contact the venue. Although, the husband decided he’ll take the day to do his own sight-seeing anyway. :)

 

I just purchased a diamond ticket about an hour ago - would be insane if I got the last one available. I’ll also still contact the venue because I’m curious to know what the “comfortable seating” is like. Even though I’m sure I won’t use it - I’m gonna try to get as close to the stage as frickin’ possible!
