OMG - am so tempted to do Stevie, too!! I’ve already got tickets for Celine and Barbra. I just don’t think I could do 3 days in a row. Or if my checking account can handle another hit to it. One thing’s for sure, it’s gonna be quite the exciting weekend!

I see Stevie Wonder has Lionel Ritchie supporting and Robbie Williams has the Black Eyed Peas, Keane, Texas and more for their respective BST concerts.

 

As things stand Céline has Claire Richards. Really hoping for more supporting acts to be announced for Celine soon.

I'm sure there will be.... but both Stevie and Robbie got some *big* names as support.... so hopefully that will also be the case for Céline (and Barbra).

I have a feeling Leona Lewis will be one of Céline's "guests".

Adele lives 5 mins from Hyde Park, she could easily get the tube & stop off at the offie on the way home. Lol

 

Most artists who do this festival stay at the Dorchester and many actually walk across the road with their entourage as the artist gate/entrance is literally outside the front of the hotel as most people are already in their watching the support acts.

It must be so cool for Celine to headline alongside her idols!

I mean, Stevie was the first album she bought, right?

Rene would be so proud.

I was thinking the same thing. Can you imagine how cool it must be for her to headline alongside people that were her idols? The only difference is that now she is an icon herself. She must be proud to be there with them, and at the same time she must be proud of herself to have done so much and have gotten so far. As for Rene ,I believe it will be raining a little because he will be crying so hard from up above! !Remember, when she had these mega moments he was always crying...

I wouldn’t mind an Adele appearance! I could see Hello being done, with Celine singing the first verse, then the stage going black and a lone spotlight on Adele walking out for the first “Hello from the other side” and after the chorus Celine and Adele could complete the song. It would be ridiculously amazing I think, the crowd would go nuts! Celine obviously loves the song from the NYE cover!

If she has to sing the prayer at this, it should be Andrea.

 

Hoping this announcement of his is something totally different.

He’s not that big in the UK anyway.

You just think the amount of times hes sung with her in the past and the amount of amazing singers in the UK and this is “so far” the lineup...

 

I think they would need more coffee than booze that afternoon to keep people awake ahead of Celine coming on.

 

I thought they would have had a lively act like the spice girls for example on the lineup to get the crowd going.

Still early days though... but again glad so far that I haven’t purchased a ticket.

Josh Groban and Claire Richards are exactly the type of acts that I would expect to be joining as support acts for Celine that day. Celine is an adult contemporary artist and Claire and Josh both fit that mold as well. They want to book similar artists to Celine so that the Celine buying audience gets more of what they like.

 

I’m not a huge fan of Josh Groban, per se, but at least I know some of his music and he has a great voice. So I’ve breathed a huge sigh of relief at this announcement. I was afraid there would be weird bands accompanying her. LOL I mean, Claire Richards was already someone of whom I’ve never heard but I bought her solo album and love it and now I can’t wait! I just can’t believe it’s so far away!!!!

You know, I really hope that they didn't record a duet for her new album and this will be the first single, which she will perform with him.... There actually was a rumor (based on a recording studio picture) that she and Josh recorded a song together. I hope it's not true. No need for another snoozefest

Personally I’m delighted with Josh Groban. Great voice and some good songs. I’d say them doing “The Prayer” together is guaranteed.

 

I’m surprised some people are expecting acts equal to Celine to be on the line up. SHE is the headliner. There isn’t going to be anybody of similar status to Celine added to the lineup.
