it's 25-30 minutes away from the London Paddington station by train (55 km), so not that far for me - going to Hyde Park from Reading would be a 1h 15 mins journey (train + subway) and the train service is available until late in the night, so I can come back home that same night.

 

but you have to take into account the distance from the airport you're landing at and if you need to take the bus, subway, train. there's multiple airports around here and some have better connections than others. if you arrive at the Luton airport, you need to take the bus, subway and train to get to Reading. if you land at Heathrow, it's just a bus connection, Gattwick a train ... that's why i said, you might want to do a search on google maps first and check exact distances and see what's acceptable to you because you might spend less money on transport that way.

If it's nearly sold out like someone said, what incentive do they have to add big (i.e. expensive) opening acts to the bill?

Knowing her usual selling power, Josh Groban is almost bigger than I expected tbh.

 

Now if they want to create a viral moment, they'll have Adele over to sing one or two duets (since she lives nearby and loves Céline, the price could be reasonable).

Wouldn't count on it, but wouldn't exclude the possibility either.

I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for more support acts to be announced! I think Queen would be an odd fit considering the 3 acts that are scheduled so far but I think it would be a great addition. Queen and Josh Groban on the same bill is just a little...wonky.

I would love it!!! The only way it would happen though is during Barbra’s concert. Barbra would never be a guest at someone else’s concert. HAHA! It’s quite honestly the only reason I’m going to Barbra’s night, too. If that duet happens, I have to be there. (I know it’s a slim chance but, you know...I’m already making the trip to London. I’m there anyway!)

That's why I used quotes on "flu". It wasn't really a flu that Barb had... More likely stage fright (to perform with Celine)...

In regards to the whole will there/won’t there “Tell Him” discussion...I’m actually wondering whether or not Celine could sing it today. She lipped it back in the day during the LTAL tour so why do we think she could sing it live 20 years later? My only thought is that, if she were to appear at Bab’s concert, it would be the only song she’d have to sing that day rather than attempt it during a 2 to 2 1/2 hour show of her own.
