To all those that said that she took some time off to have some work done...she was presenting the video on GMA and she looks the same! They used to much filters and photoshop like in "Im alive" she really looks like Sarah Jessica Parker,beautiful none the less

 

 

EVEN if the video was shot suring her time off...is not the same singing for 2 hours than do playback for a video...God these people...

Ugh. I know this isn't the popular opinion right now and I should be excited about this, but I'm just not. The exchange after the song is over is absolutely iconic and hilarious, but everything else is below average. The song is boring, her vocals are unpleasant (very throaty and her enunciation is poor). It feels like she already phoned it in. The dress looks like something she already wears in her show, the set appears to be the coliseum stage, her face is digitized or over made something. It just seems like she's still not putting effort into new material. It reminds me of that beauty and the beast song. They gave her a song, she sang it after a show one night, and she mailed it back, and that was it. Yikes, I'm sorry to rain on the parade but I didn't get the feels at all. 😔

we don't have great comments here in québec in some newspaper and media. Too much make-up, she's had some botox or operation , she was not ill, just wanted to take time of, etc. Nothing to be proud. but just the comments, she's had good press, just some people who wanted to espress themself.

wow. Are you expecting 90's celine or an exact copy of my heart will go on? I respect your opinion but this time youre wrong.. its trending for a reason and thats mot just because of deadpool hype. I think that there is gonna be an album version of Ashes which is longer and contains a bridge, and it will appear on Celines new album. I also think that there will probably a second edited version of Ashes without the funny parts, but a more serious and dramatic version that just focuses on the song and lyric, and that it will be released when the hype around the movie slows down and when the album gets released. You missed the entire point of them choosing Celine. It was all tongue in cheek and was specifically meant to draw upon her established image - which is exactly why she should be dressed in that typical-Celine dress, in those extravagant jewels, and performing at the Colosseum which has become synonymous with her career and legacy. The whole gag relies upon Celine's classic image being unironically presented, this was never meant to fulfill delulu fantasies of Celine-as-Britney/Beyonce/Shakira

 

In terms of the song, I can't count how many straight male comic-book geeks I've seen who are NOT Celine fans declaring their love for it, so that speaks for itself.
