I'm still amazed that this song is not part of the album... so all of the songs that were recorded and released from 2016-2018 are just singles. :)

Ashes will probably be one of the bonus tracks on the Courage deluxe edition. And will certainly be included on a future greatest hits album. ;)

Ashes already has 73.6 million views on Youtube. It's a critically acclaimed song, one of their biggest hits of the last 15 years.

 

IMO Ashes would be the perfect song to start the album, then FOMO and thereafter. Fits the album theme perfectly. It even relates to the cover photo.

 

The fact that the song is not part of the Courage album will mean that Sony Music is thinking of a future Greatest Hits, perhaps by 2021 and will use this hit to boost sales?

I must say that I prefer Recovering over Courage. Courage is well produced and all, but its not my favorite. Recovering is so much more emotional, and when she performed it live it was so authentic and magical. I don’t get the same feeling from Courage. Edited by ryba

During the clip I was wondering if the judges knew who the song was from. Honestly, I didn't really like how he sang it either.

At least it was something current from her catalog and not one of the usual selection. :)
